Iam sure all phone companies will have to follow this, due to new Ofcom guidelines.

they will do just enough to prevent contract cancellations, and what they're trying to do is get people on good old contracts to cancel or be forced to pay the new contract prices.

RPI is an indication of inflation, you need to be aware of when the RPI is applicable and what % it is. You can get various CPI and RPIx indices so it can be alot or little.

 

E.g. if they bill you £20.00 per month and RPI to apply at some point during your contract (say 12 Months later during a 24 month contract) is 2%; they are allowed to bill you now for £20.40 (2% of £20.00 being 40p).

 

They go above this, they can you can cancel.
