Hmm. Doubt he's setting him up to fail. Don't think people slating Rooney endlessly on here are completely clueless either, people should be more balanced when judging Rooney IMO. He has positives and negatives. People who are against him tend to only focus on the negatives.

It's similar to the Kagawa debate, people were either 100% in favour or 100% against. Total madness.
