You start off at 4 by following Luke's journey and then in between the cliffhanger of 5 and the big finale of 6 you treat the prequel trilogy as an extended DV origin flashback. This way you watch the prequels without knowing the Empire's fate in 6 but the DV surprise in 5 isn't ruined

lol I don't know why people hate the prequels so much. I loved them bar the effects looking so outdated. I wish Lucas had of carried on from Return of the Jedi himself.

It's a bit criminal not to watch them all. At least read what happens in Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. I wouldn't skip Revenge of the Sith though.
