I used to struggle with February

It's peak because I was born in February

Necessary, 1 coffee 2 sugars? Ingenious! This thread is changing my life.

I'm so bad at e-mails, usually have to read them over multiple times. Then even so come a reply I see a glaring error in my initial message.

It's usually the form of my sentences tbh.

My spelling is sound.

The rule only applies when the sound represented is ‘ee’, though. It doesn’t apply to words like science or efficient, in which the –ie- combination does follow the letter c but isn’t pronounced ‘ee’.

Neither does the rule apply to any word without the ee sound, even when there is no c involved. For example:

beige

feign

foreign

forfeit

height

neighbour

vein

weight

But you are right. There is so many exceptions I don't even know why they made up the rule Lol.
