Diddy vs Drake

Diddy assaulted Drake early Monday morning because of a feud over a song ... TMZ has learned.

As we reported, Diddy punched Drake at LIV nightclub in Miami Beach, and we were told it was because Diddy felt disrespected by the rapper, and now we know why.

Our sources say, producer Boi-1da had given both Diddy and Drake a song to record more than 8 months ago. We're told Diddy sat on the song, which frustrated Drake because he wanted to record it. So recently Drake recorded the song on his own and it did well, which pissed Diddy off.

Diddy saw Drake at LIV Monday for the first time since the song was released. Sources close to Diddy say he confronted Drake, who just blew him off, and that's when Diddy said, "You'll never disrespect me again," and then punched him.

We're told Drake ended up at an ER because in the ruckus he hit his shoulder and exacerbated an old injury.

Brought through arguably greatest rapper of all time

Wasn't a rapper yet learned to and dropped a good album (No Way Out)

Was still bringing through artists

Still features on tracks

Everyone trying to be more business minded and he's out there doing that better than anyone else.

Those saying he's not would you say Dr. Dre isn't relevant now? Timberland? Pharrell (until he released 'Happy').

okay so yeah you can say he is marked in history for his work, and his work from back then still gets played, but as I said before if Diddy did nothing for the last 10 years the only thing we'd be missing is Ciroc

maybe saying he's not relevant is wrong, maybe what I'm getting at is music-wise he hasn't really got that value to him any more

Dre may not have the value as a featured artist or producer but he's put out Kendrick albums and Eminem albums

Pharrell was on One (Swedish House Mafia), Get Lucky, produced Blurred Lines - maybe if you were saying the 5 years prior to that yeah he was a bit dry for a bit.

Timberland put out Justin Timberlake's last 2 albums, Shock Value II weren't that far away either..
