tbf it's no coincidence that Carrick and Huddlestone continually get overlooked.

Classy player that would absolutely flourish if he went abroad. Imagine him in the Italian leagues. Players who run around a lot always get in the England team ahead of technically gifted players.

Tommy was at his best alongside modric, beasty combo in midfield, picked up his ankle injury and never reached them hights again.

His performance at the lane against inter when bale bagged the hatty >>>>>

He was class

He was overlooked because of how he looks, we all know the reasons

We don't appreciate ballers

Sort of player who'd play for a shit team like San marino, out ball us the pundits would sit and say why don't we produce players like him

Deffo

Should have left to play in Europe.  Would be have been seen as one of England's best midfielders.  Over here he gets no respect, similar to how some people see Carrick at international level

Like who?

Most of Englands technically gifted players of the last 20 years, all have 50+ caps.

Huddlestone doesn't have enough desire or ability to justify his lack of input in a game, thats why he doesn't get more caps.

When did he ever put together a great season?

The cream rises to the top, if he was go good, then he would have had to get a look in.

We might not appreciate ballers like the other countries do, but at the same time, most of the 'ballers' do eventually get recognition if they're good enough, Huddlestone wasn't, technically he was, but as a footballer no, to get the best out of him you'd have to build team around him, he isn't good enough to do that for, considering the same never even happened with Gerrard Scholes etc who were better players.

His passing range is underrated, but as mentioned injuries done and him and the national team don't like players like him

Disagree fam his passing tek and range is what he is rated for the most. His shooting is what he is underrated for only because he doesn't scote many goals but he has a beautiful long range strike
