tulse1.jpg Vile: the attack in Tulse Hill

This is the shocking scene after a young man was left for dead after he and a friend were knifed in a frenzied attack.

Police launched a manhunt after footage emerged of the attack in Tulse Hill, in which a mob of around 10 youths can be seen beating and stabbing the men at 3.50am on Sunday.

One man is surrounded and punched and kicked before he is stabbed. He screams before collapsing to the ground unconscious next to Dearmer House on the Tulse Hill Estate. The attackers run away and drive off in black and silver estate cars and a black hatchback.

The second victim, his white shirt visibly ripped, managed to stay on his feet and is left standing over the body of his friend.

Several residents run into the street to help before the ambulance crew  arrive and one onlooker said: “It was terrible. One of them was left there lying in the street and we all thought he was dead because he wasn’t moving.”

The men, both 23, were treated for non-life threatening injuries in a south London hospital.

“He was my only son, I am absolutely devastated. He was a good boy in every way. We cannot understand why this has happened I am heartbroken.”

His uncle George  said: “He was a bright, lovely, gentle guy. He was never in any trouble. We cannot understand. He was shot in front of his mother.

"We are all just confused, I spent a lot if time with him, we even worked together. He was no gang member or anything like that.”
