Too soon imo.

A lot of seniors will be disorientated. A lot of people still drive cars where it's the only choice.

I think we'll see an overhaul of the DAB format before we see the AM or FM switchoff

Future is online, but I can't get a solid connection streaming from iPlayer Radio for the whole of a train journey on 4G (GiffGaff or EE). Plus you're rinsing your data. 

The potential for broadcast radio to deliver is still there until wifi connectivity is everywhere.

 

If phones had DAB receivers in them the format would blow up.

My o2 4g can stream tunein with ease, hardly ever buffers when im out and about on road/transport
