Look at the levels of the strikers he has kept clean sheets against this season and then try to understand why I'm not in a rush to jump on the bandwagon.
Last season I wanted Jones and Evans sold with them being replaced by 2/3 new CBs with Smalling being 4th choice. Only thing that has changed is Evans is gone and I wanted Otamendi but he's at City now.

Guy is playing in a ultra defensive team that keep posession and take no risks, he isnt responsible for the clean sheets 
Stick any of them i named in your current team and the results would be the same.
Just like spurs having the 2nd best defence this season when its down to sticking a DM in midfield and having more team shape, not because vertonghen has massively improved.
