Trayvon wasn't on trial

No but this is what I'm saying.

If Trayvon overpowers Zimmerman after he pulls out the gun and kills him then what?

Trayvon's actions should have been viewed as the 1st example of Stand your ground in that altercation regardless of the outcome.

It is a law after all.

If it was then surely Zimmerman wouldn't have been able to claim it as his defence aswell.

But that is 1 for the prosecutors.

If both of them lived to tell the tale whoever put hands on the other person first would have got done for assault provided a man didn't say something wild which would make a reasonable person think they were in imminent danger

Either way it's neither here nor there cos Trayvon didn't get to tell his side of the story which meant Zimmermans version of events were gospel

But that's the thing.

I think a grown man following a 15 year old boy in a car can be perceived by the boy as an imminent threat.

Remember he told the girl he was on the phone with "there's some cracker following me"

I remember that bastard Levi Bellfield followed the French girl in his van before following her in the park and killing her.

But there were balls dropped all over the place in that case tbh.

That situation shoulda ended in a mans death?

no but the man lives in a state that has stand your ground laws... trayvon was a youngen so can understand his ignorance. a grown ass man with a kid should have known better. didnt deserve to die, but the man didnt deserve to be shoved to the ground, looked like an elderley man and he coudlve easily died himself in the push if he hit his head on the concrete or broken something that may never fully heal at his age.

This is a case of dont go throwing your weight around in a stand your ground state. You dont just shove a man whos having a discussion with your wife... use your brains people.

This time.. race card, and racism denied.

So man are spending hours and hours shooting targets like this to improve their aim and then in a real life hostage situation letting off 18 rounds on a hit and hope ting, smh

They’d argue he was agitated and moving about. All more the reason not to shoot willy nilly.

Florida man's decision has been overturned - charged with manslaughter

"His arrest warrant notes three out of four of the prior cases. Two were road rage incidents documented by law enforcement in which he was accused of showing a gun. A third was an argument a few months ago over the same parking space in which Drejka confronted another man, Rick Kelly, and threatened to shoot him. A fourth report found by the Times described an incident in which Drejka braked in front of a woman with two children in her car."

Dallas, TX — Dallas police say one of their officers was going home after her shift when she walked into the wrong apartment and shot the man inside.

The officer was in full uniform just after 10 p.m. Thursday evening when she walked into an apartment unit she believed to be her own at the 1200 block of South Lamar, about a quarter-mile from the Dallas Police Department.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Botham Shem Jean.

While inside, she pulled her firearm and shot Jean. He later died at the hospital from his injuries.

The unnamed officer is now on administrative leave. DPD says they are conducting a joint investigation with the DA.
