Memphis Depay

and so is Memphis tbf,

I ain't got no problems with a man cheating on his wife or anything. But you can't jump up on that high horse and then try throw out lifestyle speeches, you lost that right when you got caught.

Sorry but that's just ridiculous.

So Coz a man made mistakes he's not(in his position as assistant manager) allowed to advise one of his players?

Don't see any evidence of him being on his high horse either

That's fair enough. As assistant manager I'd expect them kinda talks tbh.

But it makes me wonder what other skullduggery Giggsy was up to behind the scenes as well. Memphis ain't done anything to be lambasted over yet either.

I'm saying it's laughable that Giggs is giving out these sort of talks when his lifestyle dragged United into a circus.

Van Gaal should've been the one telling Memphis to chill if anything.

A dressing down usually implies it was something more than a friendly chat imo.

and c/s about him doing nothing to be lambasted over, been shit and it's always easy to link that to him having a social life when his forms poor.

Giggs has been at Manchester United since a boy.

Seen loads of young players come through, some succeed, some fail. Has been a Ferguson inside and knows why they failed.

Prolonged his career until late 30s and still played for Manchester United.

Was rarely injured.

Can't remember him being in the paper bar the affair.

He's gone from kid on trial to assistant manager.

The affair doesn't make all that redundant.

He carried himself throughout his career as a top sporting professional imo.

Maybe you feel different.

Been battered in the dutch press by ex pros over his performances for holland

Former Netherlands international Youri Mulder has blasted Memphis Depay for thinking that he is a "big star", claiming that Manchester United are getting "fed up" with the attacker's alleged arrogance.

Memphis arrived at Old Trafford during the summer, with United paying PSV £27.5 million (€37m) for the winger, who struck 22 times in 30 Eredivisie games last season.

The 21-year-old has bagged three goals in four Champions League outings for United but netted just once in eight Premier League appearances.

He has also disappointed in his country's dismal Euro 2016 qualification campaign and Mulder believes that Memphis has got too big for his boots.

"He played one good match for United, against Club Brugge [in the Champions League]," the former Twente and Schalke ace told NOS.

"In the Premier League he suffers, yet his attitude suggests that he is a big star.

"It seems that people at Manchester United are starting to get fed up with this."

Pierre van Hooijdonk has also lashed out at Memphis, claiming the youngster has failed miserably to step up to the mark for Netherlands in the injury-enforced absence of Arjen Robben.

"The stats of Memphis do not weigh up against his attitude off the pitch," the retired striker added.

"He hasn't been the player that Oranje needed, especially when Robben was unavailable."

looks like hes what the English press wish raheem sterling was

It's a fail when you are putting your hope in a 21 year old though

Not everyone is Neymar

Should be point the finger at the older players like Sniejdner

He's just an easy target after the last few weeks

Being written off already.

Smh.

Didn't you do the same with Cuadrado ? :/

and I'm sure Deepay has had more starts than Cuadrado ever did.

What has Deepay shown that Cuadrado clearly didn't?

Depay was the only Netherlands player on the pitch to wear a shirt with the flag of Iceland on.

The Manchester United winger had put on his shirt from the Iceland game in September, whilst all his team mates were wearing the tops left out for them, featuring the Czech Republic flag.

The Netherlands kit man has denied any wrongdoing, saying he put out all the kits for Danny Blind’s team as normal.

Quite why Depay was wearing the Iceland shirt is unknown but De Telegraaf wonder about the state of mind of the Manchester United winger in the lead up to the match.

De Telegraaf reveal that within the Dutch national team there has long been a debate about the “Playstation generation”, which seem to be more concerned with other things.

This could explain the training ground bust-up with Robin van Persie earlier this week.

Depay wearing the wrong shirt can clearly also be seen in the picture and on the video below.
