Never played a Shenmue game as I didn't have a Dreamcast, but the way people hype it I'm gonna cop the remasters. 

Is this gonna hold up in 2018 for a first timer or is it purely nostalgia for you man?

It was a divisive game when it came out to be honest. Not sure whether it will hold up 19 years later for someone new to it. Was groundbreaking when it came out. If you're a button bashing gamer that doesn't like to go deep or take time then you might not like it, if you like immersive games and getting lost in the story then it's good.

Already been some gameplay footage on YouTube. Looks just like the originals really. Slight concern that there is an embargo on reviews until 2 days after it's released though.
