Fucked thing is, if Henry was breaking teams down like Neville on SS, he would get the job.

We should get in an established name for a couple of years, while trying to work in a long term replacement, like United are doing basically.
Guardiola

He's been successful yes but one needs to look at the circumstances.
I don't rate Luis Enrique either despite last year's treble

Pretty much all of the best managers have good circumstances.
It's part of the parcel of being a good manager you know so they get the top jobs and can spend loads of money.

Yes but having possibly the greatest player of all time in your side is slightly different
Taking over a side that already won a treble and easily the best team in the cleague is also slightly different
He hasn't rebuilt a side over a number of years and been successful nor has he turned a team into champions that's why I don't rate him as highly as Mourinho, Fergie etc yet

Mourinho has yet to rebuild a side tho. C/s the general concensus of that post tho.

So he doesn't rate Zaha because he's doing at a small club and didn't do it at Man Utd (even though he wasn't given a chance)
But Pep who has done it all at Barcelona B, Barcelona and has carried on doing it at Bayern
Pep made loads of changes to that team though. Rebuilt it. Changed the personal, sold there best players and moved Messi to false 9. And put all his faith in Iniesta, Pique, Messi, Xavi. Promoted Busquets and Pedro too.
Arguably taking over a treble winning side is one of the hardest jobs (at that level)
Players have just won it all and in style. To then go again is very difficult. Hence nobody retaining the cl.
Even at Bayern he's tried new things and pushed boundaries. Changed their playing style a little. Signed people like Thiago, Alonso, Douglas Costa and Lewandowski plus others.
Moyes showed how hard it is to go into a big club and just resume play and expect the same results. Even Van Gaal found it difficult last year.
Great managers like Pep make it look easy imo.
Plus Pep has out smarted and out played all the top managers like Mourinho, Sir Alex on the biggest stages.
Disrespectful to compare Pep to Mourinho.
Pep would've been winning epl titles while playing the likes of RLC, Solanke, Ake, Traore etc plus playing beautiful football and still winning
Not winning boring 1-0s and having fans say o well we won. Like say you can't win and play good football and bring through younger players at the same time.
Which is why
Pep >>>

Baffled what this point has to do with the debate but Zaha was given chances but he's not good enough
Barcelona B = Reserve side. Irrelevant here
Iniesta, Messi, Xavi has nothing to do with "putting faith". They play cos they're great players. Every manager would play them
He took over Bayern who were clearly stronger than the rest and then signed the best striker in the league from there closest rivals, Alonso (Past his peak) and Thiago who's yet to show anything other than flashes of brilliance. Let's not forget he failed to make the grade at Barca. There is nothing special about what he's achieved there so far
Moyes and Van Gaal found it difficult becuase despite winning the league the squad was poor (for champions). This is another reason what made Fergie special. Pep isn't on his level either by the way
Same way Mourinho has outsmarted him and other managers. Mourinho is clearly a better tactician.
I wouldn't give Pep credit for outsmarting Fergie. Just compare the 2 teams
"Pep would've been winning epl titles while playing the like playing the likes of RLC, Solanke, Ake". PMSL what are you basing this on?
Pep wouldn't have won the league with the current Chelsea side let alone win the CL with Porto and Inter
He's not in the same league as Mourinho

Sorry
I meant he hasn't actually stayed long enough anywhere to truly go through the cycle of rebuilding a team. He hasn't lost Deco, Dinho, Eto, Ibra, Toure recreated the identity of the team while maintaining winning standards.
He just goes to teams that need a finishing touch enjoys the peak years and gets off when he can see the bottom falling out, that's normally the bottom he placed there to win in the first place.
