Yeah was decent, their fans lack ambition. Asif Danny webber plays for then

"Lack ambition"

In what way?

They would be happy to just stay as they are wouldn't want to see their team progress through the leagues, I do get what he was saying about too much change but sometimes things have to change to move forward

I don't think it's a lack of ambition but I do see what you mean.

Some people are just happy how they are. Now exposure, no pressures etc.

Like they said if they wanted riches and commercialism they would go support city or united. These kinda clubs are all about locality and a more emotional belongining tbh

What things would change?

The fact that right now a Dad can go to the game with his 3 Children for £10

He can follow his team home and away without spending more than £10 entry for himself anywhere in the league.

The fact that he can stand with friends enjoy a drink and socialise without having d*ckheads in fluorescent jackets telling him to sit down or risk a ban.

The idea that he can play an active part in HIS football club thus helping said football club and his wider community.

This idea that the football league is the promised land is something that is drummed into us all by Sky sports and the FA when in reality Football is not a TV programme, it's an enjoyable event where people can go to socialise and let go of their worries for 2 hours a week. Without having to take time off work for stupid ass trips to the other end of the country because Murdoch said so. Or remortgage the house to be able to afford entry.

Stockport are in the league above Salford City, they are charging £15 for entry this is the thin edge of the wedge as Cheltenham in the National league/conference charge £21. This is non league football remember.

I've been to Salford a couple times to watch them (before the circus arrived) and to watch FC. Quite frankly what you get there is exactly what you don't get at OT or the Ethiad, decent people having a laugh and a joke, socialising freely with mates at an affordable price,

There are plenty of teams who would hate the idea of getting into the football league, Salford are over the moon if the get 400 people attending a game, how the hell are they gonna sustain league football?

These fans who "lack ambition" are realistic and understand what and where they are.

Does anyone not find it odd that Salford was bought in March then half of it was sold to a billionaire by September? The class of 92 are not stupid. They know what an where Salford are too.

You get it.

A lot of these fans who go salford already support one of the big two already.

But isnt the whole idea of sport for the team/athlete you support to win and progress? Inevitably it will bring more outsiders in, higher ticket prices, stricter rules and regulations etc etc

Its true the fans had no ambition, but for the reasons you pointed out its understandable to a certain extent.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Really liked how the grounds and facilities were all maintained by volunteers because they love the club so much. Can't replicate that at these multi million pound clubs.

Wish there were more episodes.
