The Silkie/Anti-Social Entertainment Megathread

Too many bangers, Silkie is mad underrated as a producer and DJ - same way with the camp. Quest, Kromestar, Jay-5ive, Harry Crazy. I been a listener from like 2008 and I ain't heard a camp with as solid a back-catalogue as these man.

Silkie is actually a genius IMO - that's a side note. Large up the full ASE crew every time.

Medic, where you deya bro?

Such a wicked remix.

The Aaliyah sample in this one...This one has mashed up too many dances.

Other affiliated Anti-Social artists:

Harry Craze..linked with Poax and the People Just Do Nothing lot too.

Daddy Quest, not many releases out there but all the ones that are are solid.

Kromestar and Jay-5ive. This one is such a banger.

Heny G. Probably the best producer in ASE after Silkie. They went their seperate ways, but I still consider Heny unofficial ASE.

Big one from like 2007/8 by Kromey (aka Ironsoul).

Was keeping up for a few years but fell off. What's their recent stuff saying?

Medic was still posting stuff on youtube but not for a few months I think.

Came out on his last release on Anarchostar. Wasn't as good as City Limits 1 or 2, but he's still got it.

Nice little roller off the last Silkie release

These lot had such a unique sound. I got bored of dungeony dark dubstep and the ASE sound kinda fitted a nice middleground. Elements of everything, funky house, house, garage, dub, grime. Silkie, Quest and Heny all have some crazy musical knowledge between them.

Shame that Rinse locked the show off off. So many good DJs lost slots around that time, Rinse started clearing space for house and obscure stuff. Kinda sad.

Oh yeah, can't forget Mizz Beats, another lowkey member.

Glad you man are feeling, still! Thought this section might be a bit too house oriented now.

Yeah that one got released on the Trapstar blog as an exclusive a few years back, I grabbed the 320 if you want/need.

Mad little collab Silkie did a few years ago. The full version ain't on Youtube - reminds me I need to cop the vinyl.

Real techie bit, sampled Bassment Jaxx 'Romeo'.

Big tune off the last release.

Old school bit, still sounds so future though.

Another classic Deep Medi bit.

Sweet Lord. Nearly forgot about French Knickers!!!! This one is the boogs! Copped the test press of Silkie in the middle of a dance in Brighton back in the day, then some c*nt stole it out my mate's record bag.

Ahh man. I can't count the number of dances I reached just to hear these man play out. DMZ, FWD, Rinse Birthdays, Winstons Garden, System etc.
