gambling as of late is keeping me alive. If i don't have anything to focus on, I go down a hole.

gambling addiction is almost like a drug, it takes your mind off/numb other things.

Used to feel exactly like this

at one point my life weren't going in years, it was going in seasons

2014/15 season was the darkest of them all

couple months back was rewatching the wire and found myself identifying with bubbles and that fiendish thirst for the next hit

wasn't even about the money at one point

certain things

would say cut deep

from 1:18

a point just came when I looked back at all that time spent in front of a screen (was deep into clubs on FIFA as well) and asked for what? I've never borrowed.pawned/stole to gamble, but if I started losing more often, that would've been the next logical step

I'm saying this having lost £400 on the game last night lolsmh, but I used to chase them losses. Being able to walk away for extended periods helps as well.

Football gambling isn't really a problem for me... The problem is roulette, that is the devil.

And it's also made me kinda lose my love for football. Sometimes I watch back old matches and I remember them based on whether I have won or lost money on it. That's a bit depressing. Reckon I might try quit for good next season. Will see how the Euro's go

They are all the same bruh.

The footy one is just seasonal and the fact you have some emotional connect to the beautiful game, the damage doesn't seem as bad.

I used to have a throw away budget for football bets £20 -100 a month . Sometimes I made some change, other times I lost em all. Whatever. I stock to that regardless of  the outcome. I saw the temptation creeping in to up my stakes. I locked off my account a couple months back for good..

All a demon needs is a paper thin gateway in to your soul and they set up shop in there for goof . I am not involved in any form of gambling. Its long.  The lottery included. Its mad how some people sink themselves into a debt pool hoping to someday win the lottery to clear it all off.

I saw some bruh that used to go to my college sitting in front of a local coral shop. looking ragged and lost, Fingers looking like some wrinkled leather brogue, clutching on to one of them betting slips.  I see this guy at least twice a week on route back from work sitting on the floor or wondering around the entrance like a fly.

Always makes me stop and think.

Remember back in 07/08 i lived in the bookies

summer 07 was the worst had bare disposable cash i couldnt count used to roll will hill with pockets full if 50s and walk out with pockets full of 50s... Spend all day there cant even tell if i made a profit or a loss... Used to bang out one bingo game on the roulette machine when the machines were paying out that was the best game win 150/200 on 1 spin.

In a cry for help he wrote on an online forum: 'I've just been consumed by gambling - I'm scared for my sanity. I still just really want to play poker as I am confident now that if i had £500+ to play with I could make a living from it if I learnt to discipline myself.

This is literally what I used to say when abusing sleeping pills

"I know it's dangerous but I do it safely, I can control it, If I can just have x amount I'll be fine"

Sister used to work in one and saw a old school friend who was a "roadman" putting the bare minimum in the machines then went outside begging passerbys for 20p.

Ryder youre definitely not in control if you think gambling is keeping you alive. I'm sure you're aware of this

Can relate so much to this.

Football is a fun way to bet something to get you through the day, but after a mad one and you hit the casino, grands can be lost in the space of 60 seconds....
