A family changing £1,000 into dollars would have received up to $1,501 last week. Today, £1,000 buys just $1,318.

so glad I've got a euro account with about €2000 to use while I'm out of the UK, also being paid in EUR while GBP goes down means I'm ending up earning more

I actually end up benefitting in the short term, hopefully I can just let my GBPs sit for a hot minute

Lol can't even try and find a support level

Last time it dropped this much in such a short space of time was during the recession

Let the pound fall and lets boost exports. The lowering of prices will attract American customers. I sell products for £19.50 which is now worth $25. Later this year, i believe the pound will fall further and that £19.50 will likely be worth around $21 - $23. Americans are going to want to buy a lot from us when this happens.

What does the UK export that Americans want to buy or can't get cheaper elsewhere?

Not sending, serious question.
