Paul Manafort, former campaign chairman for President Trump, was told to turn himself in to federal authorities on Monday, The New York Times reported.

It is not clear what charges Mr. Manafort, and his former business associate Rick Gates may face, but the move marks the first round of indictments from special counsel Robert Mueller.

Mr. Gates was a longtime partner of Mr. Manafort, according to the report, and played a role in Mr. Manafort’s dealings in Eastern Europe. The former Trump campaign aide had been under investigation for violations related to his foreign lobbying efforts.

Mr. Mueller has been heading a special investigation into possible collusion between Mr. Trump’s campaign and Russia. Monday’s charges mark the first major move in the investigation since Mr. Mueller was appointed as special counsel in May.

  • Count 2: Conspiracy To Launder Money
  • Count 3 through 6: Failure to File Reports Of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts from 2011 to 2014
  • Count 7 through 9: Failure to File Reports Of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts from 2011 to 2013
  • Count 10: Unregistered Agent Of A Foreign Principal

He is going to sing like a canary - his daughters have both been on record in leaked texts talking about this shady business, back when he was hired via a Putin Proxy to push pro Putin/Anti EU/NATO Propaganda - during Enron Mueller started out by indicting the CEO's wife on tax evasion and money laundering charges, he's fucking ruthless.

Rick Gates has also been charged.

Conspiracy against the United States is some execution level shit.

So many people are sweating right now.

@Gambino Holla at ya boy. I haven't seen your opinion on this since the last time I viewed this thread a few months ago

Now i know some of his sycophants

(The people who believe for some reason that this egotistical billionaire speaks for the common man)

will believe whatever he says and does regardless of the facts of the matter; but surely that isn't a big enough motivation for him to post such a clear falsehood for the world to see.

Him siding with Police using deadly force when not necessary is one thing, The Charelstown thing is another thing, both can be open to points of view.

I just don't get what he gains from lying.

you're asking ignorant people to use logic

one thing people need to realise is a lot of people didnt vote for Trump, they "became" Trump, it's a whole idiology now, taking down the establishment, putting Americans first, sticking it to Globalisation, showing how powerful and strong the military is, quashing these little loud minorities. people put up flags, their entire social media became a shrine Trumpism, they argued with their families and friends and co workers. for them to say now that Trump is wrong is to admit that their entire life as it is is wrong. and that is not gonna happen, even if he's impeached he'll just be the victim, even if he resigns theyll say the establishment made him do it, even if Putin says he set it up they'll say it's fake news.

An election campaign adviser to Donald Trump has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about the timing of meetings with alleged go-betweens for Russia.

George Papadopoulos admitted the talks happened while he worked for Mr Trump, not before, court papers show.

He said he had been told the Russians possessed "dirt" on Hillary Clinton.

Separately, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort pleaded not guilty to charges of money laundering unrelated to the 2016 election.

The charges against Mr Papadopoulos are the first to be brought by Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating alleged links between Russia and the Trump campaign.
