Are they worth building your side around ?

All the top scorers in europes main leagues failed to win a league title 

Last pichichi to win the league in England was RVP

Also less then half of league winning sides in europes top leagues have also been pichichi since 2000.  In some leagues like Italy it has only happened 3 times, Spain and Germany 6.

 

So my question is are they worth it ?
