Grenfell Tower Fire, Latimer Road, W11

Also you have to wonder with all the warning signs and cheap refurbishment this was something they were waiting for to happen

Was listening to LBC and firefighters said they had never seen a fire spread like this in their whole career, and had dealt with plenty of high rise fires before

Disgusting that this happens in this day and age. A block housing hundreds of people refurbished with plastic cadding in Londons most wealthy borough.... whoever made that call put greed over peoples lives and made 100s homeless and had them throwing their babies out of the window

Some cheeky property developers are probably already bidding for the land to turn into luxury flats

thing is they wont even see it as their problem. they'll make some statement about how they do all they can under difficult circumstances, blame the occupants slyly and send half hearted condolences and walk away scot free.

people need to be marching the streets because isnt the only one

Fire safeguards in Grenfell were temporarily removed during the refurbishment, according to the trade journal Inside Housing.

Safeguards intended to prevent the spread of fire from floor to floor were temporarily removed from Grenfell Tower during a refurbishment, according to documents from the planning application.

The 2016 refurbishment involved replacing heating pipes which require removing ‘fire stopping’ systems, it said. Their plan was to replace these, but it is unclear whether this took place. The contractors insisted that the refurbishment complied with fire and health and safety rules.

They are already sayin something along the lines of now issuin guidance on how we can check our home electrical appliances. So already the blame is being placed on resident/s

People think that level of corruption cant happen here. Not here, the bastion of civility and humanity

they'll scurry away like cockroaches when the light is turned on and blame everything and anyone when theres clear evidence going back at least 4 years that they just didnt give a fuck.

ive never seen a building on fire so quickly and so much.

no conspiracy.....actually conspiracy .....but the building fully burnt for over 5 hours and is still standing....

not built half as strong as a 100 storey tower meant for multimillion dollar businesses.

Too early?

it had plastic/ wood all around the building, and the impact from the images we see affected just a few top floors.

this one burnt from top to bottom and looked like every room was on fire apart from a few bottom floors.

Spoiler

...And rock to the riddim and then go with the flow

1, 2, 3 and away we go

And let me hear the horns and the whistles them blow

PSG's on the microphone

I listen to riddim and I rock it the bone

All you have to do is move

So get up and move and jump to the groove
