Why was that a shit comment?

How is it not a shit comment. Is that guy a future terrorist and itching for civil war simple because he likes to fire his weapons on a firing range? Coming from VTec I think we don't need to guess why it was said.

Youre asleep

Switzerland has more lenient gun laws than certain states in America

The law does not dictate the culture

The legality behind how they aquire guns in America is irrelevant in terms of their attitude to guns and the way in which they are conditioned to use them

/

If I lived in America or they made them legal here I would own at least 5

Glock 26 threaded barrell + suppressor

Glock 18 custom grip

.45 Springfield 1911

Draco

And a custom AR15 off the top of my head

The legality behind how they acquire them is irrelevant?

bro read what you just said

there is a reason why gun crime ain't as prevalent here as in the us

it's not hard to get a strap but it's definitely not easy

if we lived in a land where someone could buy guns from the same place they could buy milk we would see a difference

if we lived in a land where it actually is legal to carry guns if you have a licence further more if you discharge that weapon you can actually get away with it if claiming self defence

and you think the law does not dictate the culture that's strange to me

the law creates the culture and the civilians who live in it

/

dont know why you then proceeded to list the guns you would own

I really don't

What if....the culture dictates the law?

The gun corporations in US lobby laws. They spend trillions of money into the government

They have a say in what can be done in the country

Getting tired of educating grown men on here tbh

There is a reason why gun crime here and in the US aren't comparable

Its not the law

Just over 20 years ago you could legally own handguns in the UK

After dunblane that changed

And although gun related offences went up in the years that followed (probably due to people being arrested for possessing firearms which weren't legal anymore) the homicide rate remained static until about 2007/8 when we had that spike

Feel free to expound on whatever point you were making with this in mind.

I used Switzerland as an example simply because you can legally own the same types of guns you can in some (not all) American states

http://www.gunshopschweiz.ch/Manufacturer/Products?mainCategoryId=17&manufacturerId=1372

All these beauties for sale 100% legal

Yet the numbers there aren't comparable to the US numbers

Ask yourself why that is

Damn sure ain't because "the law dictates the culture"

/

A man asked a hypothetical question and I answered

My answers had as much value as the question with respect to whoever asked it

Better question would be

How many of your parents legally owned handguns prior to changes in the law that came in the mid 90s?

Also of the hundreds of users on here that are eligible to apply for a gun licence and own a shotgun legally I would be surprised if even 1 user on here has gone through the process (which I might add takes less time money and effort than getting a driving licence)

Its never been part of the culture here to own guns like that regardless of the legality behind it
