But on August 18 last year he called his sometime driver, Mike Kalu, 50, and asked whether he would be interested in taking a delivery to Manchester.

Kalu agreed and Gordon sent him two postcodes, the first being an address in Haringey, North London, where he would pick up the package, and the second being the postcode for Tesco in Burnage.

The court heard Gordon told Kalu not to tell anyone where he was going, and assured him he would be paid on delivery.

Kalu, of Middleton Avenue, Chingford, London, pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and possessing ammunition and has been jailed for four years. He maintains he was not aware what was in the bag placed in his car, which contained the gun and three rounds of ammunition, although his barrister accepted he should have realised there was something ‘untoward’ about the delivery.

he should say nothing and defo not blame anybody for the decisions he made which put him the position he finds himself

I imagine his intention was to play the victim in order to play up to the good nature of the jury/judge and hope they'd take pity.

In an ideal world everybody wpuld own their mistakes and take 100% responsibility

In an ideal world.

Think we have our wires crosses here. I'm not defending him at all.

Simple case is I'm not surprised he went with that "dedence" as it's the done thing in that position. I imagine given the choice; his legal team opted for that line of defence.

The difference in opinion here is the world "delusional" I don't think that's the case. I think he lied/painted a different picture to make himself look better.
