The Wolverhampton South West MP Enoch Powell is known for his infamous Rivers of Blood speech he delivered in April 1968.

The speech caused controversy because of its anti-immigration rhetoric and led to the Conservative Party leader at the time, Edward Heath, sacking Powell from his position as Shadow Defence Secretary.

Following the speech, racial tensions in Wolverhampton were high, and parents at the time protested what they said was the racial imbalance in schools.

BBC proving their apparent non-bias nature but simply leaning all t'other way.

Left as fuck under Blair, cooler on Brown, Right as fuck under the Tories.

Enoch deserves a listen. Don't rate his politics, but he essentially inspired a society that then went out and started digging the channels of Enoch's rivers.
