O Fenomeno
Arab teams are awful as well teams in the CONCACAF region.
Plus African teams are playing catch up
You have Africans playing for European nations.

O Fenomeno
Nigeria were unlucky(A failed CF in La Liga who had five good months in the Prem is now playing in China cost them)
Senegal ( extremely unlucky to go out based on yellow cards)
Morocco outplayed Spain,Portugal,Iran just didn’t have the number 9
As for the other two nations the less said the better

For me african teams always seem to be good in the middle of the park but in the final third they are trash. They also always seem to have the worst goalkeepers.

Africa had a better showing last world cup, Algeria and Nigeria both to knockout stage, Algeria almost took out Germany.
I don't know why African teams don't do better, maybe cos through the year we generally only play dead African teams to qualify for Afcon?
If Algeria had Benzema, Nasri, Fekir, Mbappe etc to go with Mahrez, Brahimi, Feghouli would they become challengers? Or if morocco had Fellaini, Chadli, El Haddadi, or Tunisia had Ben Arfa, Ben Yedder, Khedira?
Probably goes a lot deeper, too much politics and corruption involved.
No conspiracy theorist but Africa deff gets the short straw with FIFA.

Think it goes a bit deeper than worrying about players that weren’t born in Africa playing for African countries.
For me there always seems to be a naievity when it comes to things like game management.

The biggest factor is our players representing European nations
Africans playing for European countries is the main factor(these are not your average Africans these are key players for European Nations it’s not only Africa who are suffering from this its the Caribbean nations as well).
France,Belgium as usual the biggest beneficiaries.
Europe stays exploiting Africa and rest of the world.
TB listed a small minority so I am going to break it down

Another huge reason is the slots allocated
Europe get 13 slots (sometimes two teams in one group ) out of 50
Africa get 5 slots out of 53
Joao Havelenge done Africa dirty at the time it looked like he was doing Africa a favour but he really wasn’t.
I guessing in 2026
one more slot for Africa and another 8 for Europe

African qualification is mad, literally cannot make one mistake or your campaign is finished
Btw there are 9 slots come 2026

So many factors
Comical levels of corruption, naivety, stupidity, juju, tribalsim, worshipping foreigners, the ACN being initially held in the middle of the season, top "young" players lying about their ages so when their peaks actually come they're already grandads, lack of proper infrastructure etc. etc.
Hopefully ACN now being in summer and Europeans becoming more and more racist will pursuade some of these boys to play for di motherland.

Guadeloupe front line coulda been a madness.
It's my dream to see a Carib or African nation get all their allocated players.
But this shit starts at home with the parents.
My son will have to play for Jamaica.
The treatment of Barnes and Sterling should make it an easy sell for any parent tbh.

My ultimate dream from years ago was a West Indian National team like the cricket though.

The Cricket team was made before most countries got independence init.
Now it wouldn't really make sense politically.
Fuming still.

Might as well happen... Whats the point of just being there to make up numbers in qualifying? Have to try and compete outchea. Talent pool in and people descending from the islands is staggering.
Would definitely attract more people to play as well.

You have to talk about the financial reasons why players don’t play for there actual countries

If that ever happened they (england fa) and other european nations would probably just start dishing out competitive caps just to block them with no intention of keeping them long term
Thankfully zaha saw sense and we can only hope others do to in the future
