Defence still needs a baller. Lindelof had a good WC , also has a year in the prem now so I’m surprised Jose wouldn’t try him alongside Bailly tbh and spend elsewhere.

They make glaring individual errors at times but more often than not they are solid defenders without being exceptional.

Jones has only played less than 50% of the games once.
The lowest amount of games Smalling has played is 18 in 1 season.
They have been an instrumental part of 1 of the best performing defences for years.
In comparison.
Leicester finished 9th but they conceded 60 goals.
Only 4 teams conceded more.
2 teams that got relegated conceded less.
Only 1 of the bottom 6 conceded more than 60.
The season before Maguire was part of a relegated Hull team that conceded 80 goals.
Boro below them conceded 53.
Woeful Sunderland only conceded 69.
Maguire is HORRIBLE.
