(David Hecker/AFP/Getty Images) Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the details of the deal on the club's website.Several other top teams, including Inter Milan and Juventus, were interested in signing Toni, but Bayern beat them to it after it stumbled to a fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga, the German first division, and failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.Bayern is in the midst of rebuilding its roster, with Toni the latest addition.The German powerhouse has already signed Turkish midfielder Hamit Altintop, German forward Jan Schlaudraff, Argentine midfielder Jose Ernesto Sosa and German defender Marcell JansenA key member of Italy's World Cup winning team last summer, Toni scored 49 goals for Fiorentina in the last two seasons.The forward bagged 31 goals in Serie A, the Italian first division, in 2005-06, breaking the club record of 26 held by the legendary Argentine Gabriel Batistuta and Swedish ace Kurt Hamrin.The tall striker finished with 16 goals this past season, but missed the end of the campaign because of a foot injury that required surgery.Toni, 30, previously played for Palermo, Brescia, Treviso and Vicenza in Italy.

f*ck me, the transfers have begun.Going Germany... hmm I don't know Bayern finished 4th they might need a little time to regroup. I would have expected him to move to another Italian club or even move to Spain still. Italian players rarely move abroad, like English players. Let's see what he brings Munchen next season, need to be weary of them in CL, I reckon.

This was done a while back still, they jus had to wait til Italy's season finished to announce.Bayern have a big war chest to rebuild this summer, plus the ridiculous money they'll land for Hargreaves. They'll be back next season. Marcel Jansen, Luca Toni... I dunno the exact Ribery situation but they're after him hard, and I've heard them heavily linked with Klose too. I would've thought they'd be after a defender as well.

Let's see what he brings Munchen next season, need to be weary of them in CL, I reckon.
They didnt qualify for the CL mate.They are in the Uefa Cup.
Oh yeah 4th in Germany don't get you sh*t. Nevertheless, that's a draw Tottenham would definitely want to miss then!
