Lol Ashman, you maybe a minority in the black music scene but you are the majority in the country, therefore, the country can sympathise with you and connect with you.
True. If they can connect with me. If broadcasters and DJs play me. Again, it’s just about getting that opportunity.
But anyway, I’m not trolling. I just know I’ve got to work 10 times harder for this and despite what any of you have to say about me, I ain’t quitting.

And seriously, as a minority in the black music scene, I feel it. You are going on like a white male with privilege acting like white privilege doesn’t exist.

I’m very serious. You’re as bad as the bad ones, but do go ahead and name people that have made it (black) in rap that you are better than.
The same happens with stuff I’ve seen go viral. Cats just looking into the camera get millions of hits yet good sketches fail to reach a few hundred. Music is the same. I’m sorry but have you actually looked at my word play? My metaphors, similes, assonance, onomatopoeia , repetition and rhymes? Seriously, I don’t even want to say more as I don’t want to come across as egotistical but I can honestly say that if I was a black artist spitting my rhymes, you would be rating both my rhymes and music productions on par with Wiley’s.

youre talking of black artists in Rap right? but you need to stop talking about yourself as an artist trying to make it in rap..because you havent made it cos your not very good. thats just the fact.
Nonsense. Considering some of what’s out there, surely you cannot be serious?

So was chatting to Giggs. I was like, Giggs, I've got this great concept for a video, I ran with it, sent him a copy of the video, and he loved it. He ran with it and reinstagramed it. You know how many people were telling him not to post it and to block me off? He told them fuck off and backed me fully. Even then people still kept going on about me being white but he was having none of it. It's always been the way. It's the mentality that John Doe has that makes it this way. A mentality that also white people have within business. It's wrong.

5 minutes in. Spot on. I've felt this at times still.

Maddest thing is that the entire premise of ashman's argument about race and black music is false but you lot are entertaining his nonsense fraffing up the topic
Back your claim. I've given my evidence. Where's yours?

Whats crazy is that because you are white, arguably, you have to work 10 times harder to be better than your black counterpart would be to be recognised within the genre of music you've chosen. Now apply that injustice to practically every other facet of academic/professional endeavour within this country for a black man, and we have mutual understanding. This is not to suggest that its justified, but to highlight that its prevalence didn't start within music.

That aside, I think with music you just have to know who you are within it and become the best you can be, for yourself.
Yeah man totally! That's why I'm saying I can relate in a sense to how it must feel on the other side of the coin ??

You noticed I said everyman yeah?
your angle doesnt even compare
Come on man. Even you must have heard a tune on TV or radio and thought to yourself "how the F did that get there" when you have a mate who goes in harder but gets nowhere? Am I alone in thinking this?

Everyman thinks he can buss or he is entitled to do so based on self assessment.
It's not that. Imagine I flipped that round and used those lines regarding the discrimination against ethnic minorities? You see why what you said is wrong?
