  1. Vagabondz Fundraiser Friday 19th August 2011 The Garage, Islington, N1 On Friday the 19th August London’s leading bass promoters Vagabondz are hosting a fund-raiser in aid of the famine in Somalia, working in association with the Merlin charity - “The UK's leading charity specialising in international health, sending medical experts to the front-line of global emergencies” In light of the recent events across UK and particularly in London, we will also be donating 20% of proceeds from this event towards communities in London worst effected by the riots. Although recent news coverage of the riots has taken the spotlight away from overseas issues, such as Somalia (which has recently had 3 more regions declared as famine zones by the UN) we wanted to provide an opportunity for young urban residents of London to give back to their communities whilst raising money and awareness for the current crisis in East Africa. THIS IS AN 100% NON PROFIT EVENT WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING TOWARDS CHARITY. Merlin has been working in the affected regions of Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya for over a decade and we are currently providing vita supplementary feeding and emergency health care to the affected regions. Merlin is the only health agency working in the dangerous region of Galgaduud, Somalia, to provide emergency health care and nutrition services to over 94,000 people, including 18,800 children under the age of five. Merlin has been an essential part of the humanitarian response to some of emergencies in recent history, including the floods in Pakistan, the Haiti earthquake, the 2003 war in Iraq, the Indian Ocean tsunami and Darfur. 3. With the 20th Anniversary of Screamadelica, probably Primal Screams most iconic album, the band are travelling far and wide touring the said long player and are stopping off down the road at the Brixton Academy. It goes without saying that they will be rocking Jamm through the night at their official afterparty with band members Mani and Barry Cadogan behind the decks and shaking the foundations of the venue with a selection of music that only they can deliver. This celebratory tour will see Primal Scream on the road for 7 months of 2011. Not only will they be taking in all corners of the UK, they will also take the show into Europe with gigs at two of the best festivals around, Benicassim in Spain and Optimus in Portugal. Screamaldelica, the bands third album, was released in 1991 on Creation Records to amazing critical acclaim and to this day is recognised as one of the best albums of the 90’s, if not a generation. With the live gig at the Academy sold out, this after party will continue to provide the platform for both the band and party to keep burning late into the night, and with the band in attendance and DJs set from Mani and Barry, you can rest assured the night will be nothing short of electric! Whether you are one of the lucky few to have a ticket for the gig or not, this is your chance to get up close and personal with Primal Scream and party until dawn, Screamadelica style! Absent Kelly will provide the rest of the live line up in the Live Room. With both ears firmly pressed to the live music arena floor, Absent Kelly will be offering several of London’s most exciting and talked about bands to the night. Don’t miss out on this one as we have no doubt this will be a party that is talked about for a very long time. Line Up – Primal Scream DJ Sets from Mani and Barry Cadogan Live Support to follow.

RODNEY P & SKITZ Performing just days before the release of their killer collaboration album this show is gonna be FIRE. Since his days in the seminal UK Hip Hop group London Posse, RODNEY P is widely regarded as the Godfather of British Hip Hop. Inspiring a whole generation of British emcees and producers by being the first to rap in his authentic London accent and produce a home-grown Hip Hop reggae vibe that is distinctly rooted in the UK. Expect the crowd be bouncing off the walls, swinging from the rafters and letting the bass well and truly roll! Joker will headline as he makes the trip from his native Bristol to the Jamm house. This young man has been at it since his early teens and a string of brilliant tracks have seen Joker become one of the most sort after Dubstep artists out there and as a result the extensive travelling and performing that comes with this success. With a new album at the ready and a summer full of gigs on all corners of the globe, this is one artist who will keep developing and at only 20, for many years to come. Alongside Joker as headline will be Abashanti-i. Not just the name of the soundsystem but the name of the person playing the reggae and dub sound. In contrast to the new blood of Joker, Aba has been playing his sound throughout the UK and beyond for the last 18 years. The vibe that Aba generates has brought him to the attention of the media on a worldwide basis and he has been the subject of numerous articles in domestic and foreign magazine, plus three Europe based television programs. This will be an amazing experience for all attending and alongside Joker, Dub Pack have delivered two must see headlines in one night. Not resting there, other guests on the night include Slugz & Boyson, Planas, Crises, Goli & Ashburner , Harikiri, Captain Crunch, Ras Music and Esstee. All of this will be hosted by Badness, one of the biggest MCs who has stepped onto the underground from outside of London and continues to be a major player on the underground club scene as well as featuring and collaborating with innumerable artists who thrive on his lyrical mastery. Dub Pack who are at the sharp end of all things Dubstep with their flyer packs and exceptional events that take place across the UK, have put together another special night which will see Jamm shaken to its core. -- Cheers Jack Robinson Outlook Festival // Vagabondz // Dub Pack // Brixton Jamm
