It's not even so much the risk, its the fact you literally cant go anywhere. Did it temporarily for 2 months before and got thru it, but was a bit of a chore. The money you get as compensation for more or less giving up life for a year is ridiculous tho

Also tried delaying as much as i can but they wanna know by Wednesday. As it stands im gonna turn it down- ive got confidence in my interview ability to get the other job

No benefit working a job you subconsciously think you will hate before you started, especially when it's abroad. Not sure what role it is but I remember when I worked abroad, the experience / self development I experienced was invaluable, one of the best years of my life.

Should try hold off making any decisions until they are both on the table but personally unless you actually have a financial goal you need to achieve, quality of life over money all day.

  2. I moved to Dubai beginning of May, so far so good

Nightlife here is ridiculous, always something going on.. Another big thing here's the brunches, basically pay X amount of money and its all you can eat and drink. Theres loads of expats here too, majority of the people you will meet wont actually be from the UAE. Its very westernised here so they turn a blind eye to alot of things (drinking, girls etc) just as long as your not openly causing a scene, you will be fine.

Must say the country is the most superficial place I have ever been to though, people assume that because its tax free everything is dirt cheap - depends how your lifestyle is. If you're careful with your finances you will be fine, but if your going out every weekend etc.. Your money will go like water.

  4. One fat bastard (kudos for trying to shift the weight) using the pectoral fly machine THE WRONG WAY AROUND. HE WAS SITTING BACKWARDS. My gym doesn't do inductions but all machines have clear diagrams explaining what to do.

    as in this machine?

    :lmao:

how? was he pushing the weight with his elbows?

Working this machine the other way round is actually a good way to isolate your shoulders/delts and upper back/traps.

    Google machine reverse flys

Not so much off key but pisses me off is when somebody is on a bench, and there sweat is still on it after there sets.

  5. You basically pay £15 for a simcard, and you get 150 minutes, 250 texts and 500mb of data free a month which is refreshed each month. It works through advertising so when you load up the internet on your phone (Safari for iPhone etc) you see a advert for 5 seconds. The £15 you paid for the sim is topped up as credit so if you go over your allowance, anything extra is deducted from that so your technically getting the sim for free.

Thought i'd share for those of you who could do with a spare phone/extra data

    http://ovivomobile.com/

OVIVO is what is known as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (an MVNO).

We are a SIM only, Pay as You Go provider, with a big difference.

    • We give you free callstexts and data each month
    • You do not need to top-up each month to get your free allowance
    • There are no contractsno commitments and you are free to leave at any time
    • We provide you with the best possible customer service should you ever need to call or e-mail us
  6. Trust, gonna be tough this year.

If you're gonna be taking the whole month off, make sure you ain't in a massive calorie deficit and you're hitting all your macros if you're planning on eating clean. If you don't be prepared for some massive size/strength losses. Its also easy to get in a surplus with all the fried food around, if your still not hitting your macros you're basically gonna just store fat.

Best bet if you can make time is to go gym even a couple of times a week just to maintain your strength/size,

This years gonna be all about timing and planning cause of the small window

  7. Bump

Ramadan in next few days.. for those of you who are gonna be fasting, you still gonna be going gym?

I'm planning on keeping my sessions short and intense, just so that I don't lose too much muscle during the month

Gonna go about 45 minutes before iftar (when fast breaks) so that when i'm done I can eat straight

Gonna be watching calories too, the amount of people that eat crap when its time to break fast is a joke, end up fatter at the end of the month then when they started
