Worth it, especially in that salary range and if you're moving roles. I know people with £100k+ talking about how long it took to sharpen their LinkedIn profiles.

What's everyones experience with the genius bar and getting their macs fixed in terms of cost and time?
My battery is dead - switches off as soon as I take the cord out. Done an SMC reset which is one of the solutions I found online but it didn't work. If it is the battery then it looks like a replacement with Apple costs over £100
. Could be my charger as its split in various places. Will they do on site check or will they take it in?I really need my laptop till the end of next week so I hope it doesn't f*ck up in that time.

What do you guys follow?
My only source is NTS and Boiler Room at the moment, purely out of convenience. Most of the channels/accounts I follow on soundcloud and youtube are outdated. Hearing way too much chill/ambient stuff which I'm not into.

They've still got at least £99 upfront cost + at least £40 per month for 4GB+ data and for a 64GB model. Same for 5S and need at least 32GB storage.
Though can could change on black fri itself. It's whether I want to hold out or not.
Think I might just go for it. 64gb compensates a little for the data.

sh*t data allowance but i've had to deal with 1-2gb last 6 months (without wifi as well)! and have significantly cut out a lot of data eating activities on my phone as a result, i.e. zero streaming now. So although i'd like that to change, it prob works out alright for me with this price.
wondering if i can get anything substantially better that this? will purchase tonight otherwise in case stock runs out or whatever

messed up an interview today
it was going relatively well until the guy sprung a presentation on me and my communication was a mess
had to prepare and pitch an educational aid app within 30 minutes. 30 minutes inc. 10 minute presentation?! took me roughly 8 minutes to get a brilliant idea, then just had 12 minutes to think of and put into a presentation its business value, growth potential, app features and benefits, cost analysis (what would the £50,000 be spent on). it was just far too tight for timing, i swear 40 minutes is actually reasonable while still testing you.
they have several divisions, and they decide which one to put you in. i talked a lot in my first interview about one particular division revolved around customer engagement and design, and my past experiences align to that fairly well imo. but they aligned me to strategy and as a result had to go through a harder interview which most likely reduced my chances of working at this company at all.
fair enough i should've flexible and been able to deliver a well thought out and logical presentation, and fair enough if this is their way to pick out the strong students, but what irks me about it the most is that no other candidate had to do one! 5 people said theirs was just a chat with the interviewer doing all the talking to sell them the role. this is for a grad position as well so this should've been a transparent process, but seems it's dependent upon the manager. madness.

I don't talk to a single soul from my school anymore. Interests were already diverging in 6th form. I had some girl few months back in shock and implying I had done something for everyone to turn their back on me
She's still at uni though with small very closed off circles, so she doesn't know this happens.I struggled in the last 2 years living out of UK in terms of having a stable group of mates to fall back on. Circles were constantly changing, people coming in and out, and there were only a couple of people I really enjoyed hanging out with. I'm still mid-20s so my network still remains wide which I like, but I can see it narrowing with age.
