  1. How is it the same?Almost ANYONE can work in a car plant, there won't be much difference in productivity or income whereas in football the best players make ALL the difference. It's like saying whether you sign Harewood or Ronaldinho, there wouldn't be no difference as every car plant worker is virtually the same.

  2. English clubs should be signing English (or British) players?Football clubs are essentially businesses who employ the best people for the job, it's a competitive market. In any other sector employing by nationality (and essentially discriminating others) would be unethical and illegal. What company would employ someone because of their nationality who's inferior to someone of a different nationality? It doesn't make sense. It's also obvious that a British owned club with players signed for ability (and by extension, probably foreign) is better than a foreign owned club with players signed because they're British. Even if you don't like the foreign players, they will come and go but the club will remain British whereas the other club/franchise ( biggrin.gif ) will be foreign and English players will come and go.Essentially playing football is just like any other job employment where the best in their field compete for the best positions, English players currently aren't the best.

  3. Liverpool fans were recently overwhelmingly voted by UEFA as the best fans in the world. They are so good, that they don't need to buy tickets to watch cup finals. Instead, they don their genuine Reebook Classique trainers, and run as fast as they can at the gates shouting Norwegian obscenities and 'Justice for the 96'.
    HAHAHAHAHAH
  4. Tottenham are aiming to tie up the ã12million signing of Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips this week. The north Londoners are in "advanced negotiations" with the deposed champions to snap up the England star and take their summer spending to nearly ã50m.Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest Tottenham have refused to comment on the state of talks between the clubs but boss Martin Jol is a huge admirer of Wright-Phillips, whose acquisition would give a massive boost to the club's chances of breaking into the top four. Jol has snapped up Darren Bent, Gareth Bale and Younes Kaboul as part of some impressive transfer dealing to leave Spurs fans dreaming of easing arch-rivals Arsenal out of the Champions League qualifying places. Now the swoop for Wright-Phillips, 25, is sure to heighten those expectations - especially as the winger is thought to be keen on the proposed move.He was chased by Tottenham two years ago when he was up for sale at Manchester City but they were blown out of the water by Chelsea who paid ã21m for the player.Aston Villa and City are also interested.Tottenham are also on the brink of signing Bulgarian left-sided midfielder Martin Petrov from Atletico Madrid in an ã8m deal.
The battle for 4th between Liverpool and Spurs is gonna be sick.
  5. Whatever happens Eduardo will be in and around the box most of the time. I don't think Walcott is good enough to start consistently yet and Hleb needs to be more consistent and dynamic.I'd prefer...---------------------Gilberto-------------------------------Fabregas----------Rosicky------------Eboue-----------------------------------van Persie---------------------Eduardo---------------------Of course the discussion on whether Eboue has enough skill will ensue.
