    As it wasn't me who made the statement I can't speak for his reasoning and maybe he will come back into the thread and say I'm wrong but yes I would assume he meant through a lack of opportunities.

    Though because this barrier existed throughout all career choices I wouldn't have brought it up in a discussion about scientists.

    I honestly don't know if there are many black scientists in Japan. That doesn't seem too unreasonable to me considering only the best of the best are let into Japan (to stay) but I probably wouldn't bet too much money on it.

    I see what you're saying but those forums don't have an abundance of white people spouting quasi-racist views. I wouldn't bring up racial issues on a forum that's majority white if they're not doing so.

    Would be like black people being friendly and couteous on Vip2 then Local coming in talking about negroids and testosterone levels.

    Well some of the more extreme black separatist forums I peruse wouldn't tolerate what he says and he would've found himself banned a long time ago.

    This I would say is more a casual forum that happens to have a fair amount of black people but remains open to all.

    Besides, I see nothing wrong with someone challenging your views if you believe your views are correct.

    I don't get the feeling that he's a neo-nazi type, more one of those white boys that sees himself as the victim and racism as a way to 'strike back'.

    Could be wrong but that's the vybe I get.

    I would say however that it wasn't the scientists themselves as the scientific community has historically been more accepting than mainstream society. Though given how unaccepting mainstream society has been that's probably not saying much.
