  1. This is why I would only buy a newer car, can't be dealing with these little surprises, older cars drain off the money too much with things needing fixing every 2 minutes.
  2. Oooh! My sister went to Hertfordshire! Was kinda far you know, and the campus she was on seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere!... What are you gonna to at uni luv?
  3. When you pass, the examiner will give you a magazine for first time drivers. Don't just throw it away, have a look at it. In there will be a few insurers who deal specifically with 1st time drivers, give a couple of them a ring and see what they're saying...
  4. Errrrmmmm!!!!Excuse me!Why don't I have a pink vip2 ladies thingy. I am a lady, and I post on here do I not?!...
  5. No I didn't. Shook. If I wanna get into something with someone, I'll do it all by myself, I don't need anyone else's help thank you very much.
  6. Well well well.Quite frankly I'm shocked to hear some of the guys on here (not one in particular before some of you jump on your high horse) admitting they would like/have had a batty wash. The way most guys on here are quite homophobic, then freely admitting they wouldn't mind this stuff, which sounds like it coulda originated from gay men just baffles me...
  7. Co-diddly sign...I swear Treacle is the only one who gets sent for Yeh, some c*nt always have has to have a go. Don't know why people always pick on me, I'm an innocent victim in all of this.
  8. are u serious?this is what i mean by silver spoon youths.some people are really lucky their parents are wadded because you dun know if mummy and daddy dont buy your house for you or help buy your house for you, you aint going nowhere.about what could you do with 11k thats worthwhile!11k could be flipped into 15 at very least. the bottom line is, you buy a house before a car when dealing with that kinda cash. even if you aint gonna live in it. buying to let will do much more for you than a mini on your drive.there's drug dealers with range rovers sat on their mumzies drive with the same mentality as you. just they're unlucky cos when their ps disappear, mummy and daddy wont come with the re-up.the thing that smacks it is you prolly look down on them guys who buy chains and diamond earrings b4 theyve got their own house but you're living just like them but you have a safety net (the rents)I hope this wasn't directed at me because I'm definitely not a silver spoon child. I would love to be, but I'm not.I've seen my mum graft HARD over the years and be tight with money, so I've naturally learnt how to do it too, it's just that I don't have any children/responsibilities I have to share the money with, therefore it's all mine to spend/save, throw down the toilet, do whatever I want with. I might be assuming, but it seems like the logers, carpes and cheekywun types, and the people who came on here saying their parents got them flights abroad for christmas (and possible others I have forgotten), are the people who are more comfortable financially, which is no sendage at all, and is great, I would love to have that security, but why should they be knocked for it?
  9. It takes me double the time to work out in what way face off and dinky mean things to be said, because they don't use any punctuation, it's so jarring!
  10. By the way you're talking, it seems like you just found out your ex lied to you about something, and you've just had proof/evidence that shows she was lying. Am I right?
  11. Face Off is late 20s, very early 30s.Am I right Face Off?
  12. I can't even go that long without eating food, my stomach would go past the point of hunger, and start coming with some really bad pains. Feel like I'm gonna die when I get those hunger pains!
  13. u could get a year 2000 a3 in good condition for 3500-4000. IMO looks better than a mini cooper and leaves you 6-7000 grand left to save towards a house or just jam with. orMini cooper is more a girly car tho compared to an A3 init.As a matter of fact, I have always wanted an A3, but who wants an old one? I bought my mini at the end of 2004, so the A3 you're talking about would have been 4 years old. Not for me mate. My next car will be either a Cooper S, or an A3, but not an old one! Gotta be the new shape with the big grill, 55 reg and newer.
  14. Most times it aint even an envy ting.. It just seems crazy, if you're smart enough to be able to save £11k between 16 and 21, you'd think you'd be smart enough to make a more worthwhile investment..well thats the thing most people that say the things that have been said are by people themselves they MAY BE or MAY HAVE been irresponsible if they had access to that money but as they dont have that loot its easy to become a virtual financial adviser including me (im saying that for the sake of not sounding like im acting like im all that) i wont front ive blown STUPID MONEY in my life but i dont do that no more as im a grown up.most people are very practical with money that doesnt exist. This is actually a very accurate observation.exactly, same way you will see a man who works at mcdonalds cuss roman abramovich for buying a boat for $100m by saying "i woudl have not aspent that on a boat i woudl have ________________".......yes cuz but you work at mac d's not everyone should move out of their parents house. plus treacle is asian, lol@ thinking they havent got stuff sorted out for her. calm your financial analysis down and use it for yourselfis treacle asian? No she's not, she's mixed race.
  15. So I had the Subway. Was nice, but I shouldn't have asked them to toast the bread, shoulda just had it normal.

  17. There was no hate in my comments still...if you help mumsie out financially and can afford ur insurance n everyting dass u...tru say its ur p sooooooo...The hater thing wasn't directed at you
  18. 11k is a lot, but I had saved more than that, so I could afford to buy it. And yes, I continued to save, and sam still saving so it's not a thing, and no it didn't make me broke.
  19. Are you Italian? If so, I'm there, just pm me the address.
  20. I don't feel ready. It's so much of a big commitment. Right now, I feel like I don't want 200k plus debt on my shoulders. You can euphemise it any way you want, and call it a mortgage, an investment, whatever, the point is that it's still a MAJOR debt, and I'm a free spirited kinda person, I don't like being tied down unless I need to be, and I don't need a house. I have a roof over my head, I'm fine as I am for now. I will probably change my tune in a couple years, but for now, I like everything as it is.
  21. Rah. Everyone jumped on my tits boi! I can see this topic has bought out the haters.I didn't buy my car on finance, so most of you need to stop assuming. Like I said, I have worked since I was 16, and it was the first major thing I bought since that age, so I think it was well deserved. It was also my 21st BIRTHDAY, so why not. In my group of friends, there are minis, crossfires, one series, mini convertibles etc, so within my social group, it's not really a big deal to have a 11k mini to be honest. My friend paid 15k for her mini converts, so mine was relatively cheap.I don't think 11k is a lot to spend on a mini, especially the specific one I bought. the car was less than 2 years old at the time and only had 10,000 mile son the clock, it was also in almost brand new condition and was garaged from new, so it was practically new, so I thought it was worht the price. Also, why should my mum treat me in any way becasue I have a nice car?? I go to work everyday, pay my own bills, do my own washing, clothe myself and help her out financially, so why should it bother her? My mum doesn't mind what I have or do, as long as it's not by illegal gains. She has her car, I have mine, what's the problem?
  22. hmmmmmmmA Rolex lady datejust and a Mini Cooper. What's 'hmmmmmmm' about that? I have been working and saving my money since I was 16, which means I can afford to buy things like this. Not all the time though, I am very tight when it comes to money. My top 5 were essential items, so it was necessary.Plus they were my 21st birthday presents to myself.11k for a mini cooper, was it even a cooper s, do you live on your own ?Nah, it's a Cooper. I'm on the lookout for a Cooper S right now though as it goes. A dark grey one, no more than 3 years old, no more than 20, possibly 30 on the clock, with added extras. And no, I don't live on my own, which is how I can afford those things. I know I would be nearly broke if I lived on my own, so I'm spending nicely, but cautiously, while I can.
