Big, great match.Had to dig deep.Federer's fourth consecutive French Open final.Del Potro played a great game, he has come along so much since last years US Open when he played Murray.

Fed has got to take this.How's Fed a fraud? 20 consecutive Grand-Slam semi-finals and I swear he's reached the final at Roland Garros, his worst surface, for last 3 years and only lost to someone far superior than him on clay.Del Potro, Djokovic and Murray all great young prospects, looks like some good competition.

It was in some interview with BBC Sport I was reading a while back where he was talking about he has to work harder than everyone else, he trains a lot more etc.Lampard is a very good player, I've never doubted that but I'm saying the crop of English players, even our best whether it be Lampard, Gerrard (including Rooney and I'm a Man Utd fan) just don't seem to have it, they get made to look ordinary when up against Spain's finest or France etc.The topic was made out of sheer frustration that though an English club has reached the CL final in each of the last 5 years we still aren't what we're made out to be.

C/S both of these in a way, TF summed up exactly what I'm thinking/trying to say in a more concise way in all his posts. The vision, understanding and mentality (as hmm mentioned) as well as technique of English players in comparison just doesn't match up.No doubting the ability the English players have but when it matters other nations seem to pull it off, if it's not France it's Spain, Germany or Italy and though Portugal haven't won anything the crop of players they've produced have been better too.England are way behind in producing talent in comparison to others in Europe. The problem I'm seeing is I personally do not think our "Golden" generation was even good enough, they believed their own hype too much.

Murray has a decent side of the draw. He can make it to the Final still but he usually struggles on Clay even though that's the surface he should be most used to.Fed's got a tough side, Rodd*ck is in form, Monfils and Tsonga are incredibly strong and I swear they're French (so support would be mad) and Del Potro is definitely capable of beating Fed. Not as straightforward as it seems.

Murray beats Cilic, straight sets. Through to QFs.7-5 7-6 6-1Great win, last set was very good but the tough two opening sets Murray showed real strength and upped his game when it mattered.
