360 Surround Sound

Ive got my xbox plugged into my tv here and my surround sound wired up but i cant get my xbox to play through the surround sound do u need a special lead to connect them?

well my 360 didnt come with a cable capabl of surround soud so i dunno how u did it (it does on premium maybe?)the vga cable i gt doe has an optical outputu need to set it up in the dashboard aswell

its plugged in by those green blue yellow red and white cables n its on surround sound in the dash but it wont work still it myt not be tuned in to the dvd player i give up.
