  11. im ona 5 / 6 yr course so ima chill for a bit but im thinking after i graduate or just before, hopefully in the caribbean or south americabtw i recommend you all do volunteer work here especially if ur a student i currently do volunteer work in hackney which is as close to third world as i can get on my time / money budget (no jesus)its worth mentioning that these programmes, especially the ones aimed at students, have varying degrees of benefit to the countries they're meant to help ranging from A LOT to very little or next to nothing, it's worth finding out in detail what exactly ur programme entails and the effect on the local community cos if u dont put much thought into it and you're just doing it for the sake of it there's a good chance ur just some western prick who's come to stay in someones country and is of no use to nobody

  13. wamp wamp is one of my favourites on that album stillat the risk of coming like a broken record i think big L is over rated, lifestylez was a v good album but death was the best thing that happened to him in terms of recognition
  14. as sick as ready to die is i think biggie's finest work was this
  15. i once tried to hold my mum's arm so she couldnt hit me, bad idea
  16. i think he's over rated too, lyrically tight but only borderline listenable, cant stand most of the beats hes on especially on the new album
  17. 'live from bedford-stuyvesant, the livest one, representin BK to the fullest''when im f*ckin those jen im invincible, dont love no ho thats my principle cos uh, bitches come, bitches go, thats why i get my nut and i be out the f*ckin do'albums tooooooo sick
  18. No, they are opinions, not facts.Noone does give a f*ck about it but hip hop heads, this thread is only 10 posts long if you havent noticed, doesnt sound like something everyone is crazy for does it?If you even look at the posts/responses in this thread noone is even claming it to be the best album ever or anything. It was Jays best album, everything he has done since, bar a few efforts, have been completely and utterly mediocre. And yea, I am a Hip Hop head, so I havent/didnt ignore it.you yourself said it could have potentially rivalled illmatic, anyways this is more relevant to the illmatic thread but i felt to drop my two cents in here cos i didnt wana tarnish the illmatic thread any further
  19. lol @ everyone begging Social
  20. hate to bring this up again but certain people need some perspective:illmatic was released in 94reasonable doubt was released in 96illmatic was a genre-defining instant classicjay-z became a household name in 97-98 releasing a string of commercial singlesin 2001 jay-z dropped takeoverfrom this moment forth as god is my witness weed smokers and internet hip hop heads would debate ad nauseam about jay-z vs nasreasonable doubt was basically brought up in retrospect, had he not 'sold out' no one would give a f*ck about reasonable doubt and it would have been just one of dozens of good to excellent 90s new york hip hop albums to go unnoticed by everyone but hip hop headsif you prefer reasonable doubt that's cool but what im saying is fact not opinions
  21. some people's bcg scars come like moon craters
  22. good but a mere footnote in the history of 90s hip hop
