I really do have work to do today so I can't debate about this forever. BUTI understand what you are saying - its ignorance and lack of understanding. But by saying 'white people can't understand racism' you are making them see it as an issue exclusively for black people. The only way out is to make it an issue for everyone - can you not see that??Instead of speaking against white people who want to do something (no matter how misguided) why not try and educate and encourage them?And the 'racism will always exist' comment is true. Until black (and white) people are willing to give up their identity and culture, there will always be things which set them apart and therefore things for ignorant individuals to judge thier stereotupes against.

I agree with that completely Smads - but equally no one can tell anyone else how to feel about something. The way you feel about racist might be completely different to Numero. Its an individual thing. But to shoot down a white person for talking about racism is really shooting yourself in the foot if you are trying to make a difference.
