  1. Bruv if you're down for some shotgun medic mayhem, holla man. Reckon we could go IN on SDM. My bro is getting MW3, so I will play his. But I'm copping a second hand PS3 and will cop BF3 again for myself...
  2. Never knew this what how to unlock certain straps. Nice. Apparently about 6 hours worth of unlocks...Each co-op missions is around 10-16k apparently. BRAV... Try the 320 buck. Been rinsing it on TDM since I unlocked it. One shot one kill, GOGURD time. Couple it with the AEK as a primary or even another shotty and you're laughing. The games are different, you can play both. For all the man trading the game in, you're blatantly dead at the game and wanna get back to something familiar. Not to overuse the analogy, but that's like dumping a girl who thinks you're dead in bed and going back to your no-complaints F-buddy.
  3. I agree. Pos'd for the Peter Tosh av.
  4. Hang tight all the intelligarnt darnz who are rinzin tingz at the paygonsz tonight. I'm hearing it's peak for certain man an' certain man.
  5. I don't get why people are on a one or the other ting, why not play both? I'm a gamer, straight.. It's not like back in the day where you either had a Megadrive with Sonic or a Nintendo with Mario, games are cross-platform now..I don't get where the fanboyism comes from. They're both good FPS games, and both offer different experiences. You man are acting like you've been given an ultimatum by your side bitch and your main bitch...as if game loyalty matters CoD will always offer the standard CoD experience, repackaged, reskinned, cool. It works, it's fun..cool. But BF3 are stepping the levels up. BFBC2 pushed the bounderies and tested the water, As for who is the better developer? I'd say DICE have it down, they are coming fresh, new and exciting and they deserve the recognition. It's a great game, and offers some sick experiences. The amount of ill videos that are coming out, like the James Bond helicopter vid and shit...there is just unrepeatable action that you can't beat. Shooting down a UAV or an AC130 with a Predator is sick, as is 360 quickscoping....But trust me, all that seems so vanilla once you down your first chopper with nothing more than your sniper rifle...
  6. Bruv...that guy would not go down, I must have lashed 9 rockets at him. He had anti-lock on, took twice as long to tag him and by that time he'd either popped flares, or fucked off back across the map out of range. I was so pissed, he killed me bare times... Getting sonned by a level 35 <<<<< Feeling The 40mm M320 buck...devastation on TDM. I was like 19:3 one game, 23:6 the next...absolutely savage gun, one-shot kills at close range, I managed to headshot a guy 21 meters away The sound effects. Rockets whistling down a tunnel sound sick. The crack sound when a sniper is shooting at you, or the bursting sound when you get a headshot >>> Killing enemies mid-sentence. Wigged a guy while he was still halfway through shouting 'I'm pinned, I'm pinned, I ca-'. The scout choppers with the machine guns/rockets...deep. Landing on a roof to capture a conquest objective...bawse business. The tactical freedom in general. Not feeling The little stumbling blocks you come across in maps. Why the fuck you can't jump through a glass window without breaking it first is beyond me. Dumb little obstacles. Player limit. Old school grievance though, still. Strange indestructible walls. Still, definitely the best FPS I've played in years. Possibly since Counterstrike back in the day...definitely better than BF2! Gonna have to limit my playtime soon, got some pretty good guns unlocked though. My time played is 34 hours I'm level 27 at the moment, next unlocks are M16A4, Engineer badge, M240b and the SOFLAM. Still haven't learnt the maps inside out, but getting used to Kharg, Seine, Noshahr Canals on TDM/CQ. Not played much Rush, not used to the traffic routes yet.
  7. What are your tactics? Do you plant and then watch the minimap/keep a line of sight, or do you run up and slap it on tanks? I quite like booby trapping vehicles and leaving them around for someone to take. OH - and a tip with the mines. Try and use tight clusters of mines rather than randomly spread ones. I was getting bare Vehicle Disabled notices but no kills until I started grouping my mines a little better. Ideally you want as much boom as you can get, so stack those mines up people... You could lob C4s quite far in BFBC2, this throw in this is pathetically weak.
  8. My recon class is the least developed, I've only just unlocked the SV98. That class just takes longer to get kills with , unless you equip a shotgun/PDW or you are a good sniper. I dislike Recon at the min, I can't lie - but that's because I haven't unlocked everything. I wanna get the SOFLAM laser designator and the MAV flying bot thing so I can do shit like this.. Hang tight man like mp_star, went in hard yesterday sir. Good couple of games, managed to bag a couple knife kills and some decent streaks. Bare duppiez Not really rating the mortar, don't think it's overpowered at all. Was gassed when I unlocked it though. Javelin is aight but needs the SOFLAM to do proper damage. Love the SCAR, G36, A-91 and PKP Pecheneg, M1014/870 shotties. Glock 17 is sweet, glad they ironed out the buggy firing animations and the boogs sound effects. Even though I dissed Recon, guns like the SKS are deep, and I tested out another semi-auto rifle, the M39 EMR which is pretty serious. Still can't really fly choppers, pissed. Used to be able to circle strafe buildings and shit in BFBC2, cant do any of that shit yet Tips for people who wanna get more points, play CQ or Rush. CQ is a points monster if you can play the objective and give/take orders, bagged 11000 points with that one. Never jump in the tanks to start off with, get a chopper or a jeep and go straight for the FURTHEST objective. Always start as engineer, bring plenty of mines and you're set! Got BARE mine kills yesterday
  9. I done that before. I'm pissed at the squad system though. Just had to rage quit after getting into two squads with leaders who do not give orders at all. I message the guy an pretty much have a template guide to giving squad orders. Aim at an objective, wait for the little cross to appear around the objective icon...press back/select/Q. Easy points...
  10. The SCAR is greaze, I take it all back  Got the foregrip and holo, but prefer the reflex on it. Absolutely sick, need extended mags too. Have a similar hatred for the PP2000, but that may subside once I get some more unlocks. Took the piss today and yesterday, bare knifing. Noshahr (SP?) Canals on TDM is absolutely SICK! Bare tight little corners in the 'container maze' sections, got ridiculous amounts of kills and a good number of knives. Had a high point yesterday, knifed 3 man in a row on the little sniper balcony by the Market objective on Grand Bazaar. Lying next to each other... Annoying you have to get behind them, but SO rewarding when you get the nank. MP, holla me tomorrow if you're playing
  11. Shoot at the arse-end of tanks, they're usually the weakest spot. Two shots take out most tanks. Front armour is the toughest, probably 4 shots, sides 2-3 depending on damage I think. Don't quote man, I'm zoned and tired. At distance there is some kinda strange drop, I haven't figured it yet. Try and compensate at range by aiming slightly above the target. Learn to track/lead your target smoothly. Predict where it's going to move to. Don't shoot where it was at, shoot where it is heading. Pick your shots and know where you are running to to reload, as most engineers hot themselves up on the first shot, so be sneaky. Stick with other engineers for easier tank-takedowns. Get the mines, they are a must for defending roads and they give you a heads-up as to where the enemy are, it's not either mines or an RPG like BFBC2. Keep playing until you unlock the UMP-45, it's a serious strap. Avoid the SCAR, unless you really like it. I think it's pony. Use silencers. Practice quickswitching to your rocket all the time. Get used to it, it will come in handy. Drive tanks like a bauze, you can repair them and the more you use them the more shit you unlock for them. Get used to keeping your shit repaired. If you are driving solo, press X on PS3 - the corresponding button on 360 - to switch from driver to gunner. Not really a tip, but some people don't know. Blow up shit for your team. That is where this game comes into it's own. Rockets >>> Cover. Use rockets to improve your line of sight...if you need to see into a building where an objective is, shoot a hole in the side of it. Having said that, let's say you wanna enter a building - blowing a hole in the wall is a nice way to enter, but if there is someone inside and they don't die instantly, they'll probably investigate the sound/hole. Pop shots in two or more places to keep anyone inside off guard..You can also get jammy kills
  12. If he did then it's karma. I have no sympathy for servicemen, they know the score. Respect to the dead, but I honestly see it as karma when soldiers get limbs blown off. I would fight for my country if we were TRULY threatened. If you are shipped to a foreign country to shoot at stuff for your country, you should know the score already. Orders are orders, if tear-gas is order you will get gassed, if baton-rounds come out, they come out. If he was a good guy who tried to impart his beliefs onto others and tried to genuinely help, then God bless him. Killing is a sin, though..
  13. You reckon?? I can't see it, I think the game is solid and the expansion will keep people keen.... Karkand is a dutty map from what I remember, definitely standout. I got one disc, straight. Game is deep, just finished for the night. Level 8, went in on Team Deathmatch with the shotgun...They've definitely ironed the kinks out. Fucking hard to kill tanks without C4 or mines..
  14. Bruv.. There are faction based weapons. The AK/RPG shows up for rebels, the M4/SMAW shows for allies. If you don't want to spawn in a heli, don't join a squad until you get into the game... If you got killed in one shot, then the other guy had a shotgun, or hit you in the head. There's no killcam, how you know it was a one-shot Just stick at it and stop being p*ssy. When you get good you will realize why it is better than CoD. The learning curve is steeper, but once you're on it the game is so much more rewarding. I'm copping MW3 and BF3, straight. MW3 has a lot to beat..
  15. PC eventually, but PS3 for the minute. Anybody wanna link up, I'll post my PSN ID when I get the game. You just reminded me boss, good tip. The objective focus and the extra points for following orders really helps people learn to play objectives. For people who don't know, line your objective up in your crosshair/ironsight and press Select/Back to tag the objective you want your squad to focus on. A little cross will appear around the objective your team focuses on. Anybody up for starting a proper BF3 Squad, let man know. Whoever said the medic is shit, it's not - trust! You can be a valuable team player, and if you place your medi-kits in the right place you get a few hundred points of healing easy...without using the defib. For attackers it is a MUST. For people who don't understand Rush, attackers have a limited number or attempts to defuse the M-Com. If you die, you lose a reinforcement ticket. Once 100 people have died on an attacking team without planting, the game is over. Reviving people and healing saves your tickets and makes it easier to win. You can win with one or two tickets left if you manage to plant, and once both objectives are taken out you get another 100 attempts.
  16. Bare black self-hatred in this thread, Addi di Bleaching Duppymaker would be proud.
  17. Looks dope, might have to cop a PS3 with BF3 and MW3 so I can play with my bro. Like the look of this, can't front - I'm a Battlefield man but this looks ill.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpcEjvpuL6Y Good tips for recoil if you like to spray.
  19. It does bossman, you clearly ain't hitting them. Little white X comes up. Switch to single fire/burst, if you're on console it's down on the D-pad. Improves your accuracy and help you get used to the recoil of the weapons. I can't stress how important it is to get used to the guns. Use your cover wisely, if you find you get killed a lot, it's because you're not minimizing your visibility enough. I might have to write a VIP2 BF3 tutorial, because I see how certain CoD players take to BF3 and the two games are completely different. People like to be good at games that they play instantly, and the truth is most people are dead at games when they first play them. A good tactic to get used to handling recoil is to try using the snipers, the SVD Dragunov and the MK11 with no scope. They kick like a pair of mules, but if you get used to correcting your aim after each shot, you'll find you're putting more bullets on your target after a while. Take a good couple of games, so be prepared to learn. Also KNOW YOUR CLASSES! It's so frustrating when you have to jump or shoot at a support class team-mate to get ammo. Bare CoD selfishness If you want to get your kits up quickly, know which game modes are best for what. Conquest is all about the engineer, so use TDM to level your Assault class/shotgun levelling and your Recon kit. Take the scope off the semi-auto snipers like I said, or put a 3.4x/4x scope on if you must zoom in. From what I know from the beta, support is a rush defense class, you support your snipers and your machine-gunners with ammo, and defend from a TACTICAL position -i.e in front of, or to the sides of your objectives, prone, bi-pod etc. The M249 and the PKP Pechenev are monstrous at close to medium ranges and with controlled fire can take people down at distance. They come into their own once you unlock the extended mags. Recon is great for rush attackers if you know how to snipe aggresively, defenders usually have camping rights as they have unlimited respawns, so it helps to get up to the objectives quickly and pick off/suppress the first couple of defenders you see. Hanging at the back of the map is only justified if you are defending and you have sight of the objectives. Assault = rush attacker. If you understand how to play the class properly, you're laughing. The later weapons like the AEK and the F2000 are serious, and the M320 grenade launcher is brilliant. The smoke is ideal for creating cover for an M-Com plant, every game I used to cap at least 3 thanks to smoke. Engineers are anti-vehicle/air/building as well as repair and scouts, so they fit into most. Take the game slowly and it will be very rewarding, I can't wait to play the full thing. Will write up a proper guide with some tactics once I get used to it, I'm speaking from experience on Metro and some Youtube observations
  20. People should be prepared to volunteer too IMO. I don't want Jamaica to become like England where people drop rubbish and expect somebody else to pick it up. People should feel a sense of responsibility for their environment. Of course I'm gonna pay people, I believe in economic development too - but there is a social/cultural element that you can't just chuck some foreign currency at. The Jamaican diaspora isn't doing as much as it could do, that's clear. Most Jamaicans will send back a little foreign money to their relatives, but that ain't development...it's like signing on for them, most Jamaicans will go buy a Clarks or a few fake Gucci caps from the Chinese man with it rather than hustle. I get more calls from Jamaica with man asking for shoes than I do man asking for investment...and I haven't even got P like that right now. Before a Jamaican will take that J$5000 and buy a carton of Matterhorns to sell as singles to flip, they'll go gamble it or buy a Heineken and a draw. There was a braindrain when Jamaicans left, a whole generation who knew about farming land, running business or whatever left, and the baddest/laziest/poorest stayed behind. My dad ain't been back since he left in '62, not even to bury my grandma...same with my uncle! I imagine the same is true of Africa.
  21. This is the thing, at least in Jamaica - I assume the same is true in lots of African countries...there is a lack of skills and training. Hence most companies want to avoid training schemes and simply hire some of the plentiful manual labour. Few people will do shit for free, the voluntary sector only exists in countries where people can afford to volunteer their time. So the question then is how much of your potential profit are you prepared to part with, assuming nobody will volunteer, to pay your workers? I believe in the concept of fair trade. That doesn't mean the Fair Trade logo you see on PG tips, that's some bullshit - my bredda did his dissertation on Fair Trade and the story is murky. If you believe in development, then you have to be prepared to compromise short term profit for the long term vision. Good to see some clued up, responsible heads on VIP2.
  22. when u goin back? 2 years time What is your project in Jamaica? I plan on doing something out there too, what links you got? I aint really gona talk to much over the Internet ( this is a forum remember) too many silent readers plotting on mans moves lol Tbh I got a few links in the in the high commission. Man like Levi roots hooked me up. Got nuff respect for him still . Bare safe and wants to help the young black out ere PMs.
