  1. Once again. I didn't say that. I said many persons are using this to jump on a soap box and push hundred different social issues. It's not even Grenfell residents it is others in the area that want to point the finger everywhere. Statements like "there are rich folks down the road and we have very little" etc... which have been made, cloud the issue. Which is that the government need to make these blocks safe. If someone wants to use this tragedy to say "we can't even get jobs" or push some unrelated inequality agenda, yes I have no sympathy. This is about people who died, people who lost everything and thousands more living in unsafe buildings. Not about constantly pointing to the rich poor divide that will dilute the action that needs to be taken as priority. If someone wants to blame racism and poverty and talk about not having a job live on air when there are people that lost everything then yes... I call them wasted and excuse makers and think they are not industrious enough to be anything more. This is not the time for people to push their own agendas talking about youth centres and shit, the focus needs to be on the people who immediately need help. Thats why I said these other folks are wasted and need to stop making public excuses for their own woe is me agenda. This was not in reference to the victims of Grenfell but you lot need to paint me as some establishment figure to argue against by twisting my words.
  2. I said on the previous page that they should build social housing on the site and it would be profiteering and distasteful for the government to do otherwise. Therefore be quiet and stop making comparisons to me.
  3. Meant to reply to time_bomb. Speaking of which time_bomb, Read through and draw your conclusions but you have grossly misinterpreted by stance and opinions. Please don't put callous opinions in my mouth and read the post above, that is in poor taste to do so.
  4. I had an e-beef with an individual. Search back through the thread. He insulted first, I brought ether back. It's the way it went. Others resorted to insults first. I was ready for structured debate. Ultimately do I think I am better than people. No not really. I'm always polite and curteous no matter who and I conduct myself humbly in real life. No one except my wife and two or three friends know my story and all the shit I overcame. But do I rate what I achieved and proud of what I did. Yes. If someone insults me. Will I put them in their place? Yes. Take this for what it is.
  5. The outrage is big enough that the place was a death trap. All this talk other talk is Superfluous. What is the end game of all of these discussions. 75% tax rate under a socialist regime? Is that the way to achieve equality? a lot of talk but no measurable target or action being mentioned.
  6. Social housing should be built. It would be distasteful to do anything else. Actually fuck that... it would be down right profiteering.
  7. Sigh. I didn't say it's their fault for being in social housing. I didn't say it is their fault for burning. Stop jumping on the bandwagon. That would be a disgusting opinion and I don't hold it. What I am saying is that this is being politicised so everyone can draw attention to every single social inequality and 100 different agendas. There are 100 different interviews aired on social media and conventional media wher people are using this as currency against the government (I.e. I want better rather than I want safe) and using this as political capital to highlight social inequalities that have nothing to do with the fire itself. Get your facts straight or learn to ready and interpret properly.
  8. Stop greed? Please... This is spoken by you. Someone not industrious enough to take advantage of opportunities such as free education, health care, housing. Grenfell was a fire. A tragic accident and while I agree now that the poor should have been taken notice off this wide ranging talk of equalising society (what sounds to me to be far leftist socialism) is buklshit. So so what if I think I am better than most folks in Harlesden where I grew up. It was a shit hole with drugs and prostitution on every corner. Is it so bad to aspire to me more and when you become more is it wrong to know you are better? This notion of community and neighbours is bulkshit. Use that shit if you want as an excuse but no one should be aspiring to stay their entire life in the ends. Grenfell is about a fire! A group of people ignored and their concerns ignored. Dodgy refits and poor fire regulation. Like I said at the very beginning this is being used to push a 100 different agendas and it's wrong to do so.
  9. Them night shifts. Carry on G. I hear they pay time and a half.
  10. But what are the arguments? What are the wants? The role of the state is to house people safely where they are the providers of social housing. This is the failing as I see it. Is the aim the eliminate poverty as a result of This. Objectives need to be realistic and fire safety needs to take priority.
  11. Get back under the bridge you troll.
  12. No you have it twisted.I am convinced I am better than a layabout like you. You don't know what my bank balance is. Stop catching life just because words of failure resonate with you while you sit in your marges yard typing through the internet she pays for... or is it the taxpayers paying? Either way you are wasted. Some troll who's stature is measured by his post count. Are you pacing up and down right now or something? Genuinely I want to know how much feelings you are catching from this convo because I am baffed at why you keep engaging me. how old are you? I'm trying to suss out how wasted you are.
  13. I already said this. I instigated it. My bad. This is not central to Grenfell so let it die or continue on. That much is up to you.
  14. Bruv do you think I take you seriously. Your greatest achievement are your FIFA achievement points.
  15. Because a side discussion occurred and people engaged in the conversation and so it continued. Debate some times takes these tangents although I agree it is my fault for instigating it. But you carried it on. Did I strike a cord with you or something? Did you look at your own utter failure and feel to need to jump in an defend against my words? You call me some confused Washed Asian? Why? Because I don't conform to some stereotype of a failed Asian who speaks broken English living in their marges yard and utterly reliant on hand outs and min wage salary. i know you are a loser from the way you speak and I pity you. Your greatest accomplishment is reaching 9000 posts on this site where you can play the big man. In the outside world you are annonymous and irrelevant and effect no positivity on this world. Get the convo on topic now. Feel free to respond but I am done with you.
  16. Read above you degenerate. I'm saying if you blame poverty for everything that happens in your life. Every failing, every missed opportunity you lack the guts to make shit happen for yourself. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO GRENFELL, THIS WAS A SIDE DISCUSSION. NO AMOUNT OF GUMPTION IS GOING TO STOP FIRE FROM BURNING YOU AND I AM NOT SO STUPID AND INSENSITIVE TO MAKE SUCH A COMMENT. Are we clear you degenerate failure? You probably don't even earn that living wage and don't presume to put words in my worth. You are too fucking stupid to understand. As for being 'washed' that hate only comes from some d*ckhead failed Asian.
  17. Not what I am saying at all. I was saying that that rich poor divide was not to blame. I'm big enough to say I am wrong, it's clear that if rich white folks lived there the building would have been better maintained. What I was saying is that there are 100 different social agendas being pushed as a result of this and that the true lessons to be learned are being drowned out by the fraff. I'm saying that trying to draw attention to every single inequality that exists between then grenfell residents and the made in Chelsea lads is pointless. People are always going to have more than you. Even rich people are envious of those richer. This is frivolous conversation. The real issue is fire safety and the role of the state in ensuring this. So many interviews have been held with people and their complaints range from "they died because they're black", "they died because they're poor" and "living here is like living in pigeon holes". Many persons are using this as collateral against the government to gain, many persons are using this to push some shitty agenda which justifies their own personal failings. What I was saying was this is all fraff and bollocks and for tragedy to be avoided again and lessons to be learned we need to focus on the key things that resulted in a tragedy of this scale. The talk of me "making it" was some side discussion and I don't know how we got on to that it. But yes I think anyone in this country can make it. No I don't think any one should die for not making it. But any one jumping on some soap box justifying their failures as being due to poverty either lacks motivation, skill or endeavour to make shit happen.
  18. Why? Because I don't agree with your basic outlook on life. You're a dim twat
  19. You don't know me. Don't hate because you're mediocre
  20. You're a dumb c*nt. Don't be so low to say I don't have sympathy. I'm saying i don't have sympathy for the living that are using this as a bargaining chip. Youre actually a dispicable human being.
  21. Also I have to ask Zoot... are you poor?
  22. I escaped poverty because I worked hard. I'm not telling my life story here but there was some fucked up shit. What I didn't do was say "government don't care about me blah blah blah". anyway why are we fixating on this?
  23. To a degree it is and I am taking first hand. But I acknowledge that some need a helping hand and for this you need social programs in place.
  24. People should be given the help and support to make successes of their futures. This was lacking in my youth when I had tough times. But I made it happen. I acknowledge that someone who didn't have the same values with regard to education and work ethic instilled in them might not have achieved to the same level and this is where the help and support comes in.
  25. I'm mad in saying that it's the fault of the state and the contractors who actually did the work and chose the materials?
