His pops just became Prime Minister of BelizeDean Barrow, the father of former Bad Boy artist Shyne, was elected as the first Black prime minister of Central American country Belize this past Friday. Barrowâs election marks the end of 10 years of single party rule in the country, which has long been plagued by bribery scandals and economic woes. He will take the reigns from Palestinian born Said Musa who has experienced waning popularity in recent years. Mr. Barrows had this to say, "âThis clearly is a peopleâs victory. Itâs the peopleâs judgment on the PUP. Theyâre giving us a huge vote of confidence.â Shyne, real name Jamal Barrow, is currently incarcerated from a 1999 incident in NYC where the rapper had been partying with Sean âDiddyâ Combs and his then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. A confrontation ensuded when another club goer apparantly threw money in Diddyâs face. Shyne produced a handgun and fired several shots, hitting a bystander named Natania Reuben who was struck in the face.
