First by getting into one of theArmed Services (Navy, Marines,Army or RAF) as a trainee pilot. This is open to young peoplefrom 17-24. But only a limitednumber of trainee pilots aretaken on each year. To beaccepted, applicants shouldhave five GCSEs (includingMaths and English), two A levelsor equivalent and/or a degree.Vacancies are few andcompetition is fierce. You makean application and go througha rigorous three-day selectionprocess including IQ, leadershipand medical tests.Learning tofly privately is very expensive sotraining with the ArmedServices is an excellent way ofgaining a wealth of experienceat very little cost to you.that's you durrts

why not. you'll be flying supplies to iraq for 2 years and other meaningless sh*t. there aint no aerial war at the mo. just buss 2 years and then go commercial. this way you dont have 10g on your headtop.p.s there must be some kinda scheme that sponsors youts with potential. there is no way every pilot in the world either was in the armed forces or had 10gs spare

what id reccommend for you right now yeah is start writing letters to companies like british airways, easyjet etc.stating that you wana become a commercial pilot and would be grateful for any assistance they could give you to do so. Sound proper enthusiastic and try ask for some form of scholarship towards the cost of it, or some advice on what courses they find favourable from uni etc. or at very least just an information pack. Or even ask just to be able to speak with one of their pilots kinda like an interview thing so you can learn how they got into the job and what to expect.it sounds far away still but you'll have finished college before you've blinked and you'll feel under p if you have nothing concrete sorted
