I doubt he was ever best in the world.

England isn't the world

There you go again with this England thing.

So Daglish wasn't the best in the world when Liverpool were walking over EVERYONE eating up the European Cup late 70's early 80's?

Yeah here I go again!

Gascoigne best was in the period of 1989-1991

So he was better than Matthaus and Van Basten yeah?

Keegan>>Daglish

two ballon d'ors to show and success outside Britain.

Killed yourself.

Keegan only won European player of the year once he went to Hamburg.

Which shows the bias of the football federations to not give the award to players from English clubs after the Manchester United strangle hold in the 60's.

This is a known fact so ballon dor's don't mean as much as they'd like to portray.

And Dalglish won more European cups than Keegan, is that not success outside of Britain?

lol @ do my research, Ruminegge and Platini had to watch Dalglish win 3 European cups so why would their opinion change anything?

You talk of Keegan yet you couldn't find a Liverpool fan to say Keegan >>>>>>> Dalglish

Keegan wasn't a naturally talented footballer, he was more a worker who gave 100%.

Even Keegan would laugh if you said that to him, 2 different stratosphere's of footballer, Dalglish would see passes 5 years into the future and have the technical ability to pull them off.

On top of that Dalglish built a Liverpool team that many say was even better than the one he played in, if Liverpool had been allowed to enter Europe in the late 80's it would have been peak for EVERYONE.

When John Barnes won the PFA Player of the year he was the best in the world and that was in a team of Hansen, Beardsley, Aldridge playing some of the best football in their lives.

Beardsley said Barnes is the best player he ever played on a pitch with.

And Gazza had a better world cup than Matthaus and Van Basten so...

Keegan was an incredibly talented player, more than just a worker, and also there is a number of reasons why Liverpool fans look at Daglishs tenure with more sentiment, not saying he wasn't a bette rplayer than Keegan but if he was it was only marginally, Keegan was like Suarez as he had good technical ability but still also put in a shift, you make it seem like he was Kuyt.

Peak for everyone

England isn't everyone

Milan would of smashed that team like they did to everything in front of them

Matthaus won all those accolades cos West Germany won the World Cup but they could have easily not won it, very easily.

Gullit was sick but not as skillful as Barnes, it all came together for him when he joined Liverpool.

Look at when Barnes came on against Argentina in 1986, in 15 minutes he nearly undid what Maradona had done to England, 1 of Bobby Moore's only mishaps was not getting the best out of Barnes, his peak probably came inbetween the world cups but Bobby Moore never gave him the licence he had at Liverpool, probably the missing Jigsaw for England winning something in the 80's.

Barnes 1st season at Liverpool "Team mate Aldridge said in his autobiography that Bobby Robson had at the time claimed Barnes was as good as George Best at his peak."

Milan would have never smashed Liverpool of 87/88, it's hit and miss maybe who would've won it but it's 1 of the great robberies of football to not have seen them 2 teams play against each other.

That is as near a perfect team I have ever seen, Hansen and Lawrenson it was like having 2 Baresi's.
