You are not losing any flavour as long as you don't boil it when you are washing it.You wash it to remove the hairs & there is usually like proper dirt you can see on it which i'm sure even if boiled you really wouldn't want to eat it still or even see it on your chicken & i really wouldn't like to think about how some people handle the meat at the butchers & there is no way it is going in the oven unwashed. Just feels dirty to me..

First make sure you wash them.. thoroughly lolThen put em in a bowl & put oil on them, whatever oil you use veg or olive. makes the spices stick to the wingsthen add some everyday jamaican/caribbean seasoning which ever you havei usually add some curry toothen some chilli powderpaprika - love the way it smells as wellsome worcester sauce if you like the tastered wine if you have any or vinegar - makes it marinate nicelythen cover bowl & leave them to marinate in the fridge whilst you preheat oven & do whatever elseDon't start on high heat when you put them so it slowly cooks the spices into the chicken without just burning them on top
