Mr. Gayle
England are in danger of missing out on talented Lewis Holtby, the 20-year-old Germany player who still qualifies to play for the Three Lions. Despite captaining Germany Under-21s, Holtby still qualifies for Fabio Capello’s team through his English father Christopher, career in the military took him to Germany, The FA have chosen not to attend his Bundeliga game at Bayern Munich today and appear resigned to him committing his international future to Germany. The motherland: Lewis Holtby looks set to pledge his allegiance to Germany The motherland: Lewis Holtby looks set to pledge his allegiance to Germany Holtby Jnr is a passionate admirer of the Barclays Premier League, an Everton fan who celebrated when England pulled off their famous 5-1 win in Munich in 2001. A crafty, goalscoring midfielder who is still only 20 and says he 'plays like Joe Cole', Holtby has been a key figure in the unlikely ascent of Mainz to the top of the German league. FamilyTree
I read a German article from when he was like 18 saying he feels German and wants to play for Germany
Guest Portuguese
Holtby! I think he should play for England instead of Germany. Germany have too many players like him already(Ozil Kroos Gotze) he has vision and imagination a very good young player. Furthermore apart from Wilshere England simply can't count on that type of player at the moment. If he does decide to play for England he will probably become England best player like Hargreaves was before his injury.
