If a cashier cant count, they shouldnt be a cashier. Simple.you obviously havent worked in retail before or dont pay attention bare people doing cashier work etc lack BASIC skillstake a look for yaself at what ever job it is you do it aint hard to see.I have worked in retail beore, for about 3 years while at college and first year of uni. I didnt encounter people who lacked BASIC skills, but I dont need to encounter them, nor do I need to work in retail, to know they exist. And I feel if these people work in McDs and lack basic skills in maths or English, then they have the right, infact as much if not MORE, of a right, to a proper standard of education to ensure they get the help they need, and deserve. I dont feel McDonalds could provide this, and even if they could, I feel society owes them more than that. I think its just a way of tryong to get private companies to provide a service that the government should be providing for these people. tbh i think more companies (ie football clubs + multinationals) shud have schemes in line with the govt helping education and so forth,for instance the cunts shud already be taxed higher instead of always taxing ME on petrol,alcohol,chicken and council tax etc.take it out on the big guy for once,he can afford it.i know privatisation of these services is not ideal if unregulated but i think its a good idea if more companies are prompted into having schemes that will benefit the community surrounding them.not evry1 is fortunate enough to have ready access to education or be in a position to afford full time studying,despite being hardworking and capable.thats wat equal oppurtunities is all about man,give the little guy a chance,for instance one day u mite be working in mcdonalds and education on the menu may well be the burger you relish.have a heart man,i beg of you,have a soul there people too imo
