They are right to an extent.
J Cole does not have a strong team. And that's not Jay Z's fault. You guys need to understand that Jay Z has many other business ventures.
In regards to J Cole, I personally believe that he doesnt have a strong set of ppl in his team, that will say this is your deadline and we're sticking to it.
His management and marketing team are not pushing for promo's, photoshoots ect. To me J Cole has to much damn freedom. Which is good musically but from a wider perspective its not.
Look at Big Sean for example, he is not on J Cole's level, but the amount of promo work he has done, tours. He did that cypher on BET and built on it . Plus his album was on schedule and look at the love he is getting right now. He's miles ahead of J Cole right now.
Drake's thank me later album was a rush, hence why his sophmore album is going to be called take care, because he is actually taking his time with this one.
The point im trying to make is that those guys and there team know what the the industry is about. When your sh*t hot and buzz is high you capitalised on it, J Cole and his team are not doing that.
And i guarentee if J Cole doesnt sell as much as he could have, people will be getting sacked. The music industry is a business not a playground.
