JWP
Oh sh*t, that was random. I thought that Summerslam sketch with Regal dancing along was quite funny.I dont understand why they get rid of a tag team still in action, although the gangster gimmick is over the top at times, but still, they're still in action and could easily be given decent matches. Yet they still pay Ron Simmons, who aint wrestling...just walking around saying "damn" (dont get me wrong, this is sometimes hillarious), and Hacksaw Jim Duggon to walk around waving the 4x4. Guest Its Me Bitches
they were the most over tag team and will probably be back sometime as the tag belts were probably going to them at the next ppvthey wernt released for steroids or being useless butCryme Tyme was involved in an incident with Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch at the house show yesterday in Terre Haute, Indiana. Details of the incident have not come to light yet. By all accounts this has nothing to do with any drug related issues. Because only Cryme Tyme was released it is easy to speculate that they were at fault or the cause of what ever the incident was that took place. More info to come soon... Guest Its Me Bitches
PWTorch.com reports that the Cryme Tyme release stemmed from actions the tag team performed following their Terre Haute house show match against Cade and Murdoch.According to the Torch report, the two teams had reportedly been developing heat with each other over the course of the past few weeks. That built into an incident prior to the match, in which Shad Gaspard told Lance Cade that "what happens in the ring happens," essentially implying that there might be some stiff shots exchanged. Cade mocked Gaspard's threat in front of a number of wrestlers backstage. In order to get back at Cryme Tyme for what they perceived as a threat, Cade and Murdoch met with the referee and arranged a rib. Essentially, the plan was to "fast count" while JTG was out of the ring, resulting in a count out loss for Cryme Tyme; Cryme Tyme was unaware of this plan until it was executed in front of the live audience. In what sources say was a move to save face, Cryme Tyme then decided, without telling the referee, to execute their finishing move on him (they reportedly did so safely, but it was still unexpected). They also tossed his belt into the crowd.Words were exchanged in the backstage area following the segment, and WWE management eventually made the call to release Cryme Tyme, who were reportedly on thin ice with management anyway due to what some backstage perceived as an attitude problem. The tag team was reportedly unhappy and surprised with WWE's decision. The increased scrutiny on WWE stemming from the Benoit tragedy, the Congressional investigation and the recent steroid controversy has resulted in a zero-tolerance policy backstage. DINKY
just checked rajahAs for Crime Tyme, there's a very interesting story behind this one. Backstage, there has been heat between Crime Tyme and Cade & Murdoch for several weeks. During an altercation at a house show this weekend, shad from Crime Tyme said to Trevor Murdock, "Whatever happens out there happens". This was seen as a direct threat and Murdoch addressed Shad's threat in front of the rest of the locker room.Cade & Murdoch decided to pull a rib on Crime Tyme involving the referee of their match that night and a major swerve. There is a spot in the match where JTG gets bumnped out of the ring and gets back in right before getting counted out. The swerve is that the refs were going to count very fast at the end and disqualify Crime Tyme - -without them knowing hte real finish to the match. After it went down, Crime Tyme was shocked -- but immediately gave the referee their finishing maneuver - took off his belt and auctioned it off in the crowd!Although the referee was protected during the move and they stayed in character by auctioning off his belt, Crime Tyme still performed their finisher on somebody who did not expect it or was trained to take it and were seen as the real "bad guys" of the whole situation. They were released after the show.
