There has been a lot of talk about the cryptic "SAVE_US.222" video that aired after RAW on Monday. While the exact meaning of the video remains unknown, we do have an interesting story regarding the mysterious promotional piece. Back in June, before the Benoit tragedy, former WWE creative writer Court Bauer suggested to the rest of the WWE Creative Team a different idea to introduce the new Hart Foundation or the return of Chris Jericho. The idea was to run a viral marketing campaign, something like an updated version of the Y2J countdown clock in which he debuted in WWE with back in 1999. Ideas included setting up web sites developed by third parties, doing things on YouTube, and mystery ads on WWE.com (one example for the Hart Foundation idea was to have a âpublic service announcementâ on heart attacks that would take you to a Calgary-related web site). The underlying idea was to develop an interactive campaign where fans would have to try to âcrack the code.âBauerâs idea was very popular amongst the rest of the creative team until things were turned upside down by the Benoit tragedy. Some of the clues in the SAVE_US.222 video such as the WWE theme music clue and deliberate misdirects with the whole Jericho feel could be an indication that the video has something to do with Y2Jâs return to WWE. While nothing has been confirmed, the piece seemed very similar to the initial idea that was thought up this past summer.

LAST week all the talk was about who was leaving the WWE - but now the only thing on fans' lips is who may be returning. And it's all because of a video that aired on this Monday's Raw.At first the clip just looked like a jumbled mix of numbers and letters. However on closer inspection it has led to a huge buzz that Chris Jericho may be returning to the squared circle. Those flames have now been fanned by a senior WWE insider, who told us to "stay tuned" when we asked about Y2J.The video has a similar look and feel to those used to promote Jericho in the past, and the key phrase to spot is the one that pops up a few times saying 'SAVE_US.222'.Some sleuths on the Internet, who we imagine to be like X Files' Lone Gunmen, have tied it directly to the former world heavyweight champion.Joshua 2:2, Verse 2 of the bible says - "It was told the king of Jericho, saying: 'Behold, men from the sons of Israel have come here tonight to search out the land.'"So SAVE_US.222 may actually mean 'SAVE US Y2J' - which neatly links to one of Jericho's original catchphrases, signs recently appearing on Raw and the fact that WWE is in dire need of a big name star to boost ratings and match-quality.Still don't believe it?Then check out these other things spotted in the video. Some are slightly more convincing than others:CD_VOLUME4_1 - The first track on the CD WWE The Music: Volume 4 is Jericho's theme tune.SMACK_BROUGHT1 - Jericho made his WWE debut by famously interrupting The Rock. The Rock's catchphrases included 'Just Bring It' and 'Layeth the Smacketh Down'.PROMO_99 and CHICAGO99_CAMM:A - That memorable debut and promo happened in 1999 in Chicago.WM_MATCH_TRI - Y2J fought Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 2000.CHAMP_HARD - Chris was a former hardcore champion, but then again so were Pat Patterson, Shawn Stasiak and Terri.LIVEWIRE - The name of both a song by Chris's band Fozzy and a an old WWE telly show. While WWE desperately need some good news and a big star, the timing for Jericho is also perfect. The Ayatollah of Rock N' Rollah has a new book coming out and it's far easier to sell copies by appearing on Raw than those awful early morning American chat shows.Interestingly although Chris is going on a signing tour, he has keep every Monday night free - which is the same night Raw is taped on.His recent quotes on the problems of drugs and death in wrestling seem to point to a return too. Chris towed the WWE line fully in all his TV interviews. But Y2J also likes to tease. There have been two prominent rumours of him going to TNA - once when a picture on his own website showed him by a TNA logo and the other after the company premiered the latest Fozzy video. But Jericho's (Lion)heart has always really been with the WWE and we can't see either side making a promise they can't keep.As for when it will happen - the video flashes as 7_OCT, which is when the WWE's No Mercy PPV takes place.Make sure you put it in your diary.

Source: F4WOnline.comIt now appears that Chris Jerichoâs return to WWE is imminent and could perhaps occur as early as this Sunday at WWEâs No Mercy pay-per-view. While nothing is 100%, there is most certainly going to be something big happen at No Mercy due to all of the mystery links to the save_us.222 video on the main pay-per-view page on the official WWE web site.Jerichoâs return to WWE makes sense and will be the biggest stage where he will be able to promote his new book. Returning on RAW makes Jericho vulnerable to being fed to Triple H; however, he will still be seen as a major star on the brand. Jericho could go to TNA and have a possible World Title run there, but they are losing momentum going into their two-hour debut episode of Impact and he will certainly be seen by more on WWE programming. With Jericho returning to WWE it certainly says a lot about what he thinks about TNA as he lives five minutes from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida and has young children that he wants to be around to see grow up.It should be noted that Jericho is scheduled for numerous radio interviews throughout the month of October, perhaps indicating that his return could be pushed back to WWEâs Cyber Sunday pay-per-view later this month. While nothing is set in stone, it is very likely he is coming back to WWE.

Source: PWInsider.comIt is now believed that Chris Jericho has signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. The news leaked through TNA sources who said that they were negotiating with the former Undisputed Champion before they learned that Jericho decided to return to WWE.With the recent injury to who is now the former WWE Champion John Cena, Chris Jerichoâs return could not come at a better time. Despite his absence from the wrestling business, Jericho will return as a top-tier main event caliber talent that can immediately help the RAW brand. The âSave_US.222â viral marketing campaign videos began airing about two weeks ago, the same time at which Jericho backed away from negotiations with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
