rouleroule
This week... Jermaine Jenas' display for Tottenham against Wigan on Sunday has made him Europe's third top player of the week. His two goals and all-round game earned him enough points in the week's OPTA stats to make him one of the best stars on the continent. This was based on the weekend Opta stats from Europe's top five leagues - England, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.England midfielder Jenas has not been one of the White Hart Lane favourites but the new regime clearly agrees with him.His two goals apart, Jenas set up Darren Bent for the fourth, created two more chances and he was third in the successful passes ranking in the Premier League.Only the offside flag prevented him from completing his hat-trick.Number one this weekend was Markus Proll, the Eintracht Frankfurt keeper who made 13 saves against Borussia Dortmund during the 1-1 draw, while Mamadou Niang of Marseille netted both goals in the 2-1 win at Lyon to claim second place.
