Claiming on insurance

One of my boys keeps on claiming insurance on stolen phones and watch's. I keep on telling him he's gonna get napped.Has anyone done this? I heard you gotta go police station and sh*t.

I think u gta have a police report to get anything bk from insurance if they've claimed it as stolen.

yes you have got get a crime reference number from the police station, they ask you what model phone is it, where did u loose it etcbecause then the network the phone is with, will ask you for the crime reference number because that will then make them aware that you have alerted the police about the stolen phone.more often than not it will be some old fart at the desk

Just phone them and say someone piockpocketed my phone and I need a crime ref no for insurance purposes and your done

But if you keep doing this your insurance premium will go upSo when you pay to insure something else surely it gets more expensive?

Got my PDA replaced by home insurance.Said my little brothers mate was over and dropped it down some stairs.No questions asked, got to keep my broken one.Broke again but thought it'd be fishy if I tried again.

depends if its your house insurance which includes personal belongings...eventually they will say "you have to pay the first £X of the claim" and most likely your premium will be alot higher next year/when you renew it/whateverif its the insurance which comes with the object...well i dunno if they can even find out unless they keep a record of different items claimed under the same waybasically i wudnt take the piss coz its not worth being greedy and getting caught
